Matt Campbell to Penn State??

Why the **** does everyone think he can't do better than 8-4 there? If he's only a coach good enough to go 8-4 at a place like Penn State why the **** is everyone so bent out of shape? That's ridiculous. He will win a lot there. JFC look what he does at ISU with recruiting classes in the 50s.
We watched the Ohio game.

We've seen the lack of urgency in far too many late half/game situations.

His teams usually falter when the pressure is highest.

At best, he'll match Franklin's success.

And as we have seen, that is no longer good enough at Penn State.

Bet you’re happy he’s gone.

If you are ignoring one of your best friends who you see everyday and are supposed to go to an NFL game with in a couple days, yeah that's weird.
Or.... maybe it turns out that Matt is just a POS?

Seriously though... yeah.. maybe you would contact your best friend if you were thinking about taking a job, but it wasn't a done deal yet... but I don't think it's crazy either for someone to not say anything to anyone unless there's actually something to tell them.

I agree. Unless he gets some amazing coordinators... Matt has too many weaknesses to be elite.

I've always said we needed to keep him as long as we could because he's the best we can probably get at ISU. He's a really good coach, and kids love playing for him.... but he's not great, and certainly not elite. There's a reason he was like PSU's 6th choice or something... and not their first.
This right here.

He was going to be ISU's Ferentz, and that's pretty good!

He has NEVER had to face the pressure and demands like he will at PSU.

Just look at what Ryan Day still endures!

Good luck bro!

His attention to details and what it takes to win in the margins are lacking WAY too much to be elite.

He was elite at identifying and developing mid level college football prospects. That skill does not do him much in State College, but it has always been elusive before he arrived in Ames.

If he struggles to beat Ohio, how is he going to beat Ohio State? Don't see it going well for him.

Don’t shoot the messenger, but…I live in Toledo, Oh. I was just informed by someone that knows board of trustees here and they have been told to be available all wknd cause they think and hear that Jason Candle will be next. I’m not a fan of him at all, so I hope it’s wrong!

Remember.... there were some tOSU fans that wanted Ryan Day gone after even winning a national title... because he didn't beat Michigan.

It's about as good as we can get. Why not. Any of the replacements will be ****. We might as well take Toledo's team.
