With Campbell leaving this late in the cycle, I think we have to accept the fact that we are going to be the worst football team in the power conferences for the next 2-3 years. Honestly, from a strategic POV, unless we can get Harry Stine on board, we should just allocate the minimum of the $20 mil necessary to simply field a football team and go all in on MBB, WBB, and Wrestling. **** Volleyball as well. We could actually win a natty in those sports at some time in the next 50 years. Football that would simply be impossible.

Once our fan and more importantly donor base accepts this, we can actually move forward as an athletic department that can still generate significant fan and donor interest. Because pumping money into what can only be a failing enterprise is just bad management and is a bad long-term decision for the health of the Athletics department.

Not doubting we will take a pretty tough hit but the idea that we are going to be the worst P4 for the next 2-3 years is a pretty ridiculous overreaction.

PSA This is poster is a massive troll and is likely ecstatic on day like today. So keep that in mind when interacting with him.
troll = shitposting when i'm drunk and pissed at my cyclones... maybe try to engage with what I've actually said here? Doesn't investing more in basketball where there is more financial parity make sense?

What a stupid thing to say.

We should just put all our resources into FB and MBB. Let all the other sports wither and die. Do we have to actually field teams, or just offer scholarships? Can we have tryouts and just say nobody made the cut? Stop all recruiting and not sign anybody? Force the Big 12 and NCAA to kick us out.

*** This is a sarcastic post. ***
