Matt Campbell to Penn State??

Matt Campbell is a very private person and doesn’t leak anything. All this information is coming from Kraft or his office. IMHO.
Matt Campbell is a man with goals and dreams. I'm sure one of those is to coach a football team at the highest level. Unfortunately, that means sacrificing some things to reach those goals. I'm sure PSU has a good PR team to coach him up about being more public and personable.

The people you're looking for are the Saudi, Qataris, Emirati.
Yeah, maybe I’m wrong but I just feel like the Baylors, SMUs, and TCUs could use their Texas connections to lock ISU out.

And if not them it’ll take NYC and/or West Palm Beach ties that decent midwesterners don’t have.

Uh oh tide turned slighty, CMC wanted no comms with boosters on game weeks or game days and PSU couldnt guarantee.

I have my doubts this is true. And even if it was, he’d probably still take the job.

But I have no doubt he would ******* hate this sort of thing. That will bring me some real joy if it happens.

Vegas thinks Lipsey is playing?
Bigger question is does Kalshi think Lipsey is playing? I'm sure there's a future's bet available on that site for that question. And whatever that site has as the favorite is clearly what's going to happen

Am I doing this right?

the question Campbell needs to answer - and PSU needs to convince him of - is that he is more likely to achieve those goal at PSU than ISU.

I'm not sure that's the case at this point

I’m sure too. He knows how to do it though. But I think he’d hate it. Now being at Penn State might be enough to make it worth while but he’d ati hate it.

Jesus. I was hoping I didn’t need to spell out the point of my little if 2.8M Cyclone fans gave $1 jokes, but here we are.

It is impractical to expect an NIL collective funded by a subset of people born in Iowa will keep pace with those funded by billionaires.

It is impractical to expect a Cyclone T. Boone Pickens to just materialize.

That said, the solution to this problem is right out in the open.

Just a couple days ago when Sitake was the leading candidate people were confident Campbell was safe as long as Marcus Freeman didn’t jump ship.

Do I need to spell this out?

Iowa State needs to grow its fanbase dramatically if it wants to compete. There are only so many Iowans. How do the Cyclones go global?

I know what you’re thinking, growing an international religion takes years and we don’t have that kind of time. You’re right. But maybe we don’t need to?

Let us not forgot that at one point a digital computer existed only in the domain of science fiction. Then Atanasoff and Berry came along and made it real.

Well, at one point Thetans and Xenu were merely science fiction. Then along came L. Ron Hubbard and well, maybe he didn’t make them real, but he made them quite lucrative.

The point is the partnership isn’t as far-fetched as you might believe.

Sure, Scientology doesn’t have the user base of a Catholicism or a Mormonism, but what it lacks in headcount it makes up for in deep-pocketed celebrities.

In the very least I think this warrants a sit down. Yormark seems like the kind of guy who could facilitate it.

Make it happen, JP!

The easiest solution is form an investment club among Cyclone fans and agree proceeds benefit Cyclone athletics.
Not just one, but many. It would take 20 or 30 years to see results, but look at the Mutual Investment Club of Detroit, formed in 1940 worth several million now. If 20 or 30 Cyclone fans started one in 1990, that investment club would have enough to make a big difference. I wish I would have done that right after I got out of school, but I did start a foundation for our public school 30 years ago. Patience has rewarded us.

Literally every coach at every level has booster and department responsibilities during the season and game day, how do you think programs stay funded?
If there is any truth to that comment (and that's debatable) I'm sure the request and conversation topic was more nuanced than how it's reported.
