Honestly this was 78% not that long ago
There is tremendous volume. It's scalp city out here! I started with $5 and now up to $28.
Probably not right away. It would likely be a rough year 1 for whoever we would hire
ISU is doing what it can to just stay afloat with loyalty deals with retaining players. That cost gets even more difficult having to replace a bunch.
It makes an already tough gig even tougher.
It would be a rough year next year. Like said earlier though with transfer portal and NIL and the new coach did things right. It could be a quick turn around these days. This would have killed us in the 90’s. Fortunately we already sucked and nobody was taking our coaches
Bug revenue ploy? Jamie and Matt about to make a massive bet that he is not the new coach? Get athletic budget similar to the SEC?
I'm not saying I think this happens, I honestly believe it probably doesn't. But JP has given him everything he possibly can over the years except ISU's NIL has been dependent upon getting hometown discounts. If CMC decided that the new era of House settlement + $X is something ISU will not be able to keep up with, maybe he does decide to make the change.
Maybe this gets a donor to commit more money to nil in hopes of Campbell staying.
Maybe CMC went into one of his long rambling explanations about the process etc. when someone asked him about his flight and PSU's people started to lose interest.
He talked too much about the margins. PSU declined immediately.
Or maybe he brought Randy Peterson with him?
I really think that reasoning would make CMC a huge hypocrite and just another college football coach. He would have been playing us this entire time and I hope everyone would treat the situation as such if he were to leave. If he stays this time, he’s the real deal and absolutely one of the few or only true outliers of non jackass P5 CFB coaches. All timer in the sport if he stays here forever or only goes to the nfl to see if his way really is the way.
Thats why Kirk Ferentz is kind of a baller. Can’t tell that guy ****.

I'm sorry, but that is a hell of a long con. I hope our next coach does the exact same thing. Best 11 year stretch in Iowa State history but it was all a long con to screw us over in the end. If only we could get that lucky.
