Drake lost to Creighton at home yesterday. I hadn’t realized that Grace Boffeli had transferred from UNi to Creighton. She went for 11 points and 11 boards in the win.
Yikes. That's quite a burn for Drake fans.

Well I'm not saying that he has some bigs that will be 1st team all Big 12 performers. I was just wondering like many others if all the tall girls were good or "just tall". Would they be athletic or awkward oxen? After watching their first two games I'm of the persuasion they are fairly good. It's always amazed me over the years that so many teams you see warming up will often have a couple of tall giants and you're thinking if they're good they could really pose a problem. But the game starts and you don't see them on the floor. If they ever do come in you see the reason why. I just feel like TCU is good enough, especially if Miles & Hunter stay healthy to compete for a title. They play Baylor twice this year (again) and that will probably tell the tale. Two of those bigs, Basham and Portlock, aren’t doing much against overmatched competition. Portlock has yet to play (injury?). Suarez and Silva look to be their posts of choice and Silva hasn’t exactly been overpowering. I’d say they are def a build in progress. But as the old saying goes, you can’t teach 6’7”. Like ISU I want to see a much bigger sample size before I say they are back.
Agree. Suarez and Silva might come along nicely.Well I'm not saying that he has some bigs that will be 1st team all Big 12 performers. Of local interest: Evansville is where Sydney Huber (daughter of Stacy Frese Huber) ended up. Here's her first career bucket (a three, of course).
- Iowa beat Evansville by 76 points. Maybe an Iowa record? Rude homecoming for Hawk Molly Davis who is a grad assistant for the Aces. Saw that Davis tidbit pop into my media feed.
Future Iowa State opponent Marquette lost to Minnesota by 43. 90-47
Didn’t see this one coming…a loss maybe, but a butt whooping?Future Iowa State opponent Marquette lost to Minnesota by 43. 90-47
That sounds like a Grinnell college mbb score from a few yrs back.![]()
Grace College sets new women's college basketball record with 172 points in blowout victory
History was made on Tuesday night. The Grace College women’s basketball team beat Ohio Christian, 172-91.sports.yahoo.com
Looks like Grinnell still runs that offense. They won 161-130 last night. That sounds like a Grinnell college mbb score from a few yrs back.
The Lancers didn’t use a Stephen Curry-type 3-point barrage — they actually were a modest 10 for 38. Rather, the engine for the victory was what is known as the Grinnell System, a style of full-court press that Grace head coach Dan Davis installed this season.
6...7...?????
Jack Taylor of Grinnell College took 108 shots the night he scored 138 points vs Faith Bible, including 70+ three pointers. The Grace women must be running a more balanced “modified Grinnell System”!Confirmed -- Grace is running the grinnell system.

The small school from Winona Lake, Ind., surpassed the previous record held by two schools, and it wasn't even close.www.nytimes.com
Molly Joyce, Audi's teammate from Bishop Garrigan HS, plays for South Dakota. Yotes just beat the Wildcats in a great game 72-71.Games worth a look this afternoon/evening. Yikes, Hawks favored by 30 points.
Maybe a chance to see what the all new Wildcats roster looks like even if SD is not a good Summit League team. Doubt I'll be in the mood for a 4pm but listed it.
