*** @ TCU Pregame Thread ***

Least excited about this game than I have been in the past 3 or 4 years. After the last four weeks its difficult to think we can we this game, on the road and then finish the season strong. Start 5-0 and starting to look like we then will lose 5 in a row with Kansas coming up in two weeks and another QB that has his way with us in the past.

9-3 and 8-4 likely doesn't get into the CCG or a playoff so would have still been pointless?
At least they would have been in the race down the stretch and in a halfway decent bowl game. This was one of ISU’s best shots at a conference title and they were effectively out of the race two weeks into conference play. Would it still end up feeling meaningless if they finished 9-3? Maybe. But I think that’s just the reality of the CFB landscape now.

I was in attendance for the curb stomping ASU gave us in JerryWorld last year and even the bowl win didn’t feel great after that.

I hope Hoover sucks. Or is it better if he blows?

Need a vacuum expert to chime in.

If ISU can score TDs in the RedZone they will win. If they can't they won't.

So I would lean TCU, don't think ISU will figure out it's RedZone problems this year.

Would be nice to be surprised.

I don’t think it should be hard to figure out the RedZone problems

They over came it last year because Rocco ran and they had 2 receivers that got open.

This year Rocco ain't running and receivers drop balls.

Rocco had over 300 yards rushing last year. This year he has like 70. That's a problem

Not sure why the staff does not want the QB to be running the ball, but Purdy was great his first year running the ball, and then as a senior, hardly ever keep it, Rocco is the same way, no one is saying run them 20 times, but 5 to 7 times on bootlegs and RPOs to keep the defense honest and not crashing down.

I hate all the negativity. We have great kids on this team. I hope they play better and prove everyone wrong. We’re going to need to get in the end zone a lot. Defense is really hurting. Need some young guys to step up.

I hate it too, but it just flat out realistic at this point. The team is decimated and the players that can actually take the field aren't exactly playing with a ton of confidence and swagger.

I'm just hoping for 7-5 at this point instead of 6-6 with our only win left vs lowly Okie State (doesn't even seem like a given anymore if injuries keep piling up week after week.)

We will beat Kansas.
