For those wondering, Darrin Hansen had 9 "No Doubts" in the first half. Nice effort outta him. He also sprinkled in 3 "Johnny on the spots" which is already a season high.

I think he's "less athletic" than Hali, for lack of a better term. He's more athletic than Kane.
Another offensively challenged night where we are only on pace to score 80+ again.
Hope TJ can figure this out.
Kane was a bull dozer. Toure is more agile.I think he's less athletic than Hali.
And he seems big and under control to me more than athletic. That's why I get Kane. Fast and atheltic enough!
Agree to disagree tho. Both are obviously a good thing.
A quick look at their roster... 10 Seniors, 2 Juniors, 2 Frosh. They showed that Grambling had a bunch of upperclassmen transfers. I honestly think they will will be a good team
He was also 24.Kane was a bull dozer. Toure is more agile.
Agree, there is much more talk about defensive play in the locker room right now than offensive.I like that we’re up by 14 when we didn’t really play that well. Tamin continues to play at a level above the others. Toure a bit out of control tonight, looking more like a freshman, but you can see the potential.
I don’t see what people are saying in that our identity is defense and that we’re gonna look like the earlier TJ teams. That’s about as opposite of what I’m seeing through the early game action. Our post defense is…yeah. I mean, it can only go up? Buchanan disrupted a couple of shots around the hoop for sure. But, Jefferson and Milan are liabilities on defense. Perimeter D will be fine, but our system relies on all 5 guys giving full effort and that’s just not happening so far.
Mississippi State game will show whether it’s just guys playing with less effort against the Gramblings of the world.
Did you watch the Purdue game? He wasn’t much better.Would kill for Oscar Cluff right about now
Ya these bigs move well and are aggressive the to hole. They will get there.Did you watch the Purdue game? He wasn’t much better.
It’s still early. I think they’ll figure it out. TJ made a sweet 16 with Bob Jones and George Conditt. These bigs haven’t shown anything yet that makes me think they would be any worse
For the record tho I'm not saying I disagree with your assertion that he's more athletic than Kane tho.Kane was a bull dozer. Toure is more agile.
Both Jefferson and Milan have major work to do. They’re out of position a lot, both with overpursuit on cutters who get underneath them and then slow recoveries to the three-point line. We can’t afford either of them to get into foul trouble and both are prone to biting on the pump fake when they trap guys. I’m not seeing anyone filling the Kunc/Bob Jones/Chatfield relentless big who stays grounded role. Those are the guys that cause havoc and drive the opponent nuts, which leads to lots of bad passes that become turnovers.Agree, there is much more talk about defensive play in the locker room right now than offensive.
Damn! Grambling’s basketball team has twice as many seniors as healthy defensive starters on Iowa State’s football team.A quick look at their roster... 10 Seniors, 2 Juniors, 2 Frosh.
This is not the same Grambling in a good way. The refs are letting them play physical. No excuses tho. They are not a bad team either way.A quick look at their roster... 10 Seniors, 2 Juniors, 2 Frosh.
