Been under the weather and this game sort of snuck up on me.

Southern was at Iowa on Monday night with Iowa winning 86-51. Hawk bigs had a field day while some Hawk freshman played a little like freshman. that second part is from Jensen.

Hawk post Ava Heiden had 21 pts and 14 reb in 25 minutes. Hannah Stuelke added 20 and 9. Seems Crooks should get high 20's or 30 versus Southern and Addy for high teens if Hawk bigs got 40.

I won't take much to smother them defensively. They generally have trouble scoring versus P4 teams on their annual funding sojourns to SEC, Big Ten and Big 12 campuses.

And they won't be able to defend Crooks and Brown who both had double-doubles in 24/25 minutes last year. It's the same thing each year, win by 30 and hope no one gets hurt.

Get feeling better!

I’m headed up for my first in person look and know that perspective will be much different than tv. I want to watch the newcomers up close.

Feeling better, good enough to go get my old man fall vaccine shots in 30 minutes. Didn't want to wait to DR appt Friday, too close to roadie on Monday to Sioux Falls to see the MBB. I never really get a bad reaction but didn't want this to be "that" time.

I was a little worried how my body would react this fall since I got tetanus, flu, and COVID boosters all within a 48 hour period.
 
Southern making a road trip through Iowa....they lost to the Hawks, 86-51. Their leading scorer in that game was Zaria Hurston, a 6'0" guard who had 14 points and 4 rebounds.

Hoping for a dominant and uneventful evening in Hilton.
