But with a QB who may or may not be having head issues. It was a modern-day Jim Walden fullback draw on 3rd and long.

Honestly, I think Rocco is feeling the pressure of having to carry the team. When you're THE GUY, you will sometimes fail. That's just the way of things. I have no doubt that he'll come back and finish this thing strong.Rocco is off. Way off. Did he take a hit to the head at the Arizona game? Followed by the shot against Cincinnati. But he NEVER has bad back to back games. I've suddenly lost that feeling that he can bring us back from any deficit.
Our line was fine. I thought they played well. QB and receivers lost that game, but they'll bounce back.Anyone… coaches, announcers, Rocco… relying on our OL to get us critical yards …needs their head checked.
All season we have been told how much the staff trusts Rocco to make the right call, and if he thinks the call is not there to check out of it and run something else. The QB draw on 3rd and 10 should have never been ran, and the RPO that he gave the ball to Sama when he saw how everyone on the defense was bunched in the middle should have been a fake to him and keep it going around the corner on 4th and 1.5 We did the same play last week where he handed it off and should have kept it.
It was a call that he should have checked out of when he saw how the defense was lined up. I would think the OC thought that in 3rd and 10 the defense would think were in a passing mode, but instead they were looking for the QB run, maybe something they say on tape that tipped them off. Play should have never been run.I didn’t hate the QB draw play call if you plan on going for it on 4th down. But to run THAT play and then punt on the most crucial drive of the game in Colorado territory is one of the worst play call + coaching decisions I’ve ever seen. It was like we just gave up.
IM SO PROUDDDDDDDDDDDDThought it was Rhoades coaching vs KSU today.
I could tell on tv they were gonna run the qb draw. Im sure CU saw it too.It was a call that he should have checked out of when he saw how the defense was lined up. Its a fine call if you're going for it on 4th down. Most of the time that gets 4-5 yards, but it was only 2 yesterday. Still, punting there made no sense and made the 3rd down call look bad.I didn’t hate the QB draw play call if you plan on going for it on 4th down. Throwing for RAC is completely fine. CU's defense often left those chances open for us to take, and there was many of them. The problem was putting the ball on a guy's chest at reasonable pace and actually catching it.How many 5 yd passes can you throw on 3rd and 10+? Evidently a lot.

We had a QB draw that worked, I think it was the only other designed QB run we did. This was more like QB power and it sure seemed like Rocco checked into it at the line, maybe they had two plays called? The real bizarre play IMO was punting it after that. After sleeping on it, that 3rd and 10 QB draw is as bad as everyone thought. Sama ran for 7.5 ypc and Rocco’s average completion was 12 yards. Instead, we tried to run a QB draw up the gut where we had zero success all day. A truly awful play call, even if we were going to go for it on 4th down.
