As much as the bats sucked with risp in the series there were some incredible defensive plays.
Could be an overstatement, but I don't think we win that game without Dansby absolutely willing himself to Gold Glove play in the field tonight. He was amazing.
I’ll admit that I had no clue what Counsell was doing half the time but he managed a great series. He deserves a lot of credit, especially because the bats were quiet.
Since he was put on the 15 day IL, my understanding is the soonest he would be eligible to return is game 5 of the NLDS. Since that would be mid-series I think he would have to replace another injured player. So unlikely he pitches in the post season at all this year.
Shaw had a hell of a play in the 9th also that potentially saved the game.
