Hate mosquitoes but these are at another level:
Biting black flies chewing on ankles and the lower leg. This bstrds wont leave the car and bite while driving. Maddening. Leaves a welt on me that itches for at least 3 days, maybe 5
Deer flies. Their bite hurts and I get the immediate swell up and itch like mad for a few hours. They are especially bothersome in swarms where they will also land on my head. I hate them

Some call these no see ums, some call other things no see ums, some call anything tiny no see ums.
Not sure really what bug is officially called no see ums, but we are talking these tiny little bastards that have come out with harvest season. (minute pirate bugs I think they are called officially)
They are especially attracted to bright colors in the sun.
Little bastards can sure F up a golf shot too. Nothing like getting bit in the calf in the middle of your back swing.

Didn’t have any problem with bugs in the RV village tonight for our poker games.
I’ve heard that it isn’t a bite, but actually a liquid injected into your skin? I’m not a scientist, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
