He actually was making progress and very well may have made a bowl the next year and then bolted at the first opportunity.
They were talking like it was a shoe in that they would get an invite, while I really doubt anyone else was thinking the same thing. They did not want to be in the same conference as BYU, the hate we have for the squawks is nothing like the hate between Utah and BYU, they take it to entire new level.
Did I hear Nebraska has lost 28 straight vs ranked teams? I thought I heard that but it seems impossible.
the streak predates the hiring of CMC. they won a bowl game against a ranked foe and then CMC was hired a couple weeks later.

I can't put my finger on it, you just can't beat watching college football live. Even NFL football, which is legitimately superior in the play on the field, just does not have what great college football brings to the table.
