***@ Arkansas State Pregame Thread***

Posting here just in case someone hasn't seen the thread in the Tailgate Forum about tailgating in Jonesboro. We booked the front section of the church lot just north of the stadium. See Post #15 for details. Hope you can join us.

Not that much when 75% of our tickets are season tickets. I would also guess the G5 game is the least likely to sell out, I don't think we ever have since we expanded the stadium.
Season Tickets or not, there’s still revenue. The Athletic Department isn’t going to just throw in free tickets. They will add whatever the dollar amount is for that game to the package.

61,500 x $80?
$4.92M ticket sales alone.

And…..Pretty Sure vs South Dakota Coyotes was a sellout just 2 weeks ago.

Do you have season tickets?

What is the revenue for a sold out home game in September with unicorns for the halftime show?

Exact same thing, since it’s never going to happen. Stop beating a dead horse, please.
You won’t answer Because the answer ruins your narrative

The profit of a home game needs to be determine based on additional revenue (non ST sales, concessions, etc.) above season tickets minus expenses (opponent pay and travel expenses, operational expenses, etc.) and compare that monies saved with an away game (our travel expenses, not paying opponent, etc.).

Pollard has accounting background and has been successful at keeping the AD in a good financial position. I'm sure that he has punched the numbers on this and determined it to be best for Iowa State.

There are a couple of posters on here that think that are being armchair AD/accountants on here and think Pollard's numbers are wrong.

As far as I can tell we haven't scheduled any new home and homes with G5 since 2018. While I don't think ISU will buy out the away games, it's possible we may not schedule any more.

Correct
so please provide a P and L. Thanks

They stated on Sound Off Sunday night that Campbell was not happy with this game being played as an away game but the contract was in place before he was hired by the school. It might have been we were talking to these smaller schools from less of a position of strength like we now have and was hoping to get every win we could to be bowl eligible at the end of the season. Going forward we should not be playing teams like this as an away game, but we get to do it this year, so let's just suck it up and head down there and roll them.

I haven’t said the numbers are wrong, because I have not seen any numbers.

We have games in 27 and 29 as well on the road. Schedules past that are probably on hold until the new TV contract is finalized.
