F IOWA

Honestly, I think that we are better than them at every position other than OL and DL. And those two spots are close. We could easily lose this game as turnovers and special teams plays can change a game real quick. And it’s going to be a tight game either way. I just feel like our roster is in a lot better position than theirs.
Plus the Clones are way better at the most important position. Iowa continues to treat the forward pass as if they are trying to split the atom. Rocco looked amazing yesterday and those are the two best tight ends in the state as well. I’m thinking ISU 30 - Iowa 13. Hope I’m wrong.

Albany’s kicker wore number 69 and kicked only two kickoffs out of bounds.

You are sandbagging on purpose, we all know what you are trying to do.

Wish I was. Just going by the eye test. Hoping Iowa’s passing game improves a ton from the first week, but history says it probably won’t. Also, this might be the worst Iowa defense in at least 10 years. I think they will still be OK, but nothing close to what they have been this past decade.

F*** the Hawks. These fans are insufferable, and have a meth streak a mile wide. Let this be the year Campbell finally trusts our QB. We've had more athleticism and talent on offense (especially speed at WR) than these pukes for years. Let's finally just go over the top on them, and put em deep in a hole early.

Make no mistake about it, this is a huge and important game for Iowa. They are supposed to be the big brother but ISU is the one that is ranked and has of the national attention so far. That does not sit well with them and they want nothing more than to knock us off. Based on that I give Iowa the motivation/emotional edge for this game.

I have no idea about this game this year. But historically, when we are favored, it doesn't go well. And the other thing that makes me nervous is we tend to try to out Iowa, Iowa and that doesn't go well, even when we win. We should have killed Iowa something like 30-10 in 2022, we were clearly the better team but somehow ended up in 10-9 win. I thought we were a lot better than them in 2019, but somehow Iowa won that game because we shot ourselves in the foot. Anyway, I am not confident about winning this game just based on historically it is always the same type of game. I would love to blow them out but again historically, if we win, it is always barely. We have not dominted Iowa since 2005, that is 20 years!!! And we have not beaten them in Jack Trice since 2011, six straight losses at home. Brutal.

It will be a bloodbath next week. Rocco will cook those guys. Our D will hold up just fine against their soft ass run game. I expect Marcus Neal to put at least one of their RBs out of the game. Their QB looked scared yesterday and it’s only going to get worse at Trice. Expect multiple INTs next week. 31-10 ISU.

I hope you're right... but you're falling hook, line, and sinker for everything that Iowa fans want ISU fans to be saying this week. The more confident and cocky we are... the happier they are. They know when we're over confident, it never ends well for us.

IMO... this game will come down to the final couple possessions... like always.

We have not beaten Iowa's ass hard in a game since 2005, and they are due for a good ass kicking. They have a good O line and running game, but we are more multiple. They can grind it out and shorten the game, but if we played them 5 times, I think we would win 4 of them, and most of those by 2 scores. They couldn't muster 50 passing yards against a ****** fcs team, for ***** sake, and not because they just called off the dogs. I think we win this 30 to 13, in control most of the game.

Tldr: They suck. We will beat them convincingly. :)

This is a true statement. I remember coming off a Fiesta Bowl win with Purdy and company, College Game Day, and prime time afternoon TV slot and we pissed down our leg. Lets be confident, but not over confident. We really need to beat down Iowa, not just squeak out a victory. Must stay focused and stay sharp.
Apparently this is where fans need reminding that we are not actually the ones playing the game on the field and it doesn't matter how seriously ISU fans take Iowa on social media.

What? The fans don't determine the outcome of the games? When did this change?

(notice the two spaces between sentences for a clue . . . . )

I don’t care what Iowa fans think. We are the better team and are gonna roll them.
