F IOWA

I want to see a NO DOUBT, ISU ass kicking, shut down their running game, no turnovers, and stop tying to out Iowa. The only advantage they have over us is on their OL, they are weaker at QB, WR and TE, I would say the RB are a push. We are better on defense at LB, while both side are unsure about their Dlines and DBs. The special teams are also a push. Becht will be one of the better QBs the squawks face this season, if we don't go into a shell and try to play power run football, but air it out, we will be fine. Stop their running game, and force them to pass, avoid turnovers and we win by at least 10, try to out Iowa, and it will come down to TO and they can beat us.

I think playing k-state first really helped us out getting to a different level, earlier in the season. I simply think based on having more game reps, and a better quarterback, we should handle them. F*** Iowa either way.

I don’t care what Iowa fans think. We are the better team and are gonna roll them.
I just don’t want to see you have a hard fall if we happen to lose. Those suck.

Honestly.. I agree with the gambling spread on this one…. ISU favored by about 3 or so…. just because they are at home. Large probability that this game is very close…. almost always is.

I think we win and win it close.
Not just because recent history of close games, more so that I'm still not 100% sure we have been tested. K-State has looked pretty bad. I don't think they should be ranked. Their last game was pathetic and they didn't deserve to win it. South Dakota as well has history of being good for FCS, but a new coach and tons of new players, they were not great as well

The saving grace, we curb stomped South Dakota and we hardly ever curb stomp anyone. Nice to see not play down to their level.

Oh, and **** Iowa!

Looking for the classic image of cy shoving the football up herkys ass. Can’t find it on the google. Who’s got it?

Some mind blowing stats from Blum on the podcast:

  • Iowa has out gained ISU only once in the last 8 years.
  • ISU has held Iowa to less than 300 yards of total offense all but once in the last 8 years.
But a big reason ISU has had mixed success is that in the last 11 years ISU has started a grand total of 3 possessions on the Iowa side of the field. That's crazy.

I am getting a significantly lower amount of vitriol from my Hawkeye "friends" this year. Not sure what to make of it, but F*** Iowa all the same.

As they say...punting is winning.
