Which guy is Downs? I rarely ever watch anything squawkeye, but I wonder if it is the guy I am thinking.
There's nothing funny about that Great Danes program we played today. I can tell you that.
I’d say he’s the ugly one but that wouldn’t really narrow it down
Saw this come up on my X feed. So apparently Iowa fans feel encouraged about Gron’s performance
First Offense, is it more of a Fell-on-Knee, or would it be a Miss-D-Meaner?
Inquiring minds want to know.
Yes, Downs is the worst…. he’s your typical Hawk fan…. just a total d-bag.
As for this week, going into this game, I really don’t like how this is setting up for ISU honestly. Any time we look like the favorite going in, it never seems to turn out well for us.
And I worry because Iowa looked really good in the run game yesterday, and I didn’t think that our run defense looked particularly good yesterday against a FCS program. If Iowa is able to pound it on the ground on us…. it will open up some kind of passing game for them…. even if Gronowski isn’t all that great.
This set up scares me. And I don’t like all the hoopla with Fox doing their show here, etc either…. that never seems to help us either in the past.

This is a true statement. I remember coming off a Fiesta Bowl win with Purdy and company, College Game Day, and prime time afternoon TV slot and we pissed down our leg. Lets be confident, but not over confident. We really need to beat down Iowa, not just squeak out a victory. Must stay focused and stay sharp.
I’m not sold on their passing game at all and while they were able to pound Albany on the ground, doing it against ISU is a different thing. I look at their team and I don’t see many difference makers. Last year, they had Johnson at RB, Higgins at LB, Castro at DB. Those guys were nfl players. Who do they have this year? I think there’s a tackle who is supposed to get drafted and Graves is good on the DL. But where’s the skill talent? Where’s the NFL TE and DBs they always have? Guess I’m just not impressed with their roster.
Though I have some concerns about ISU as well, I agree with this. I don’t think the talent level at Iowa is what it’s been in the past.
Honestly, I think that we are better than them at every position other than OL and DL. And those two spots are close. We could easily lose this game as turnovers and special teams plays can change a game real quick. And it’s going to be a tight game either way. I just feel like our roster is in a lot better position than theirs.
