Ridiculous question- but I’ve noticed the last 2 seasons, particularly in the big ten championship and this years playoff that the Ohio State coaching staff rocks fantastic pairs of pants. Now they look like pretty standard grey dress pants but does anyone know of a way I can find the exact pair online or something? Seriously such a look.

KU basketball team will be spending an extra night out in California after defeating Stanford on Sunday.

The Jayhawks were on their flight returning home when, according to a statement released by KU athletics on Sunday evening, one of the engines on the plane failed.

"Upon our return flight home from San Jose, CA, roughly 20 minutes into the flight, one of the engines failed," read a statement released by KU athletics. "The pilot immediately contacted the San Jose Airport where we returned and made a safe landing. We are grateful to the pilots and the entire flight crew of Swift Air."

Scary situation for all involved!

Alright, CF. I need some help from everyone in solving a murder which happened right in my backyard. Here is the photographic evidence from the crime scene in question (in spoiler tags for the faint of heart):


As you can see from the picture and the remaining feet, it used to be a rabbit. Whatever ate it, ripped up the top half of the torso (nowhere to be found nearby) and picked off the spine and leg bones pretty clean (except for the actual feet). What type of anymal would do this? Based on the remains, it appears to have been a fully grown/adult rabbit.

Some predators I have seen around my neighborhood (or neighbors have photographed): bobcats, coyotes, stray dogs, stray cats, snakes (copperheads, cottonmouths, rat snakes, an escaped ball python - all of these probably unlikely in the winter), racoons, and turkey vultures (pretty big ones).

What does CF think? I have added a poll with a few options as well.

How would you rank your bowl experiences overall for the last 3.
1. We enjoyed Alamo the most as taking over the River Walk was awesome, weather was good, game was close.
2. Liberty, Beale St was great with a sea of red and we won. Chilly tho.
3. I was disappointed in Camping World, stadium was ok but the area was a dump. If there was a central area to hang out we didn’t find it. Pep rally was fun. Curious what others think.

Just wanted to get some input on what players might end up changing positions. Campbell and staff are not shy about doing this, and I kinda like it... We have seen DT's move to the o-line, a QB move to TE, a QB move to LB, a WR move to CB, a safety move to LB, safeties that move to corner and vice versa... I'm sure there are more but those are the ones I could think of off the top of my head.

I think the two most obvious moves for 2020 would be....

1. Enyi moving into the interior of the d-line. He played there as a freshman a bit and we will need some experience in the middle after losing Lima and Johnson. Plus, we have some depth at DE with JaQuan, Petersen and McDonald, as well as a couple redshirt freshmen and Johnny Wilson coming in.

2. Milton moving back to the slot. He did average 20 yards per catch this year, but didn't have a lot of catches. IMO he is a natural slot WR and is far more dangerous there. I get that you want your best players on the field, hence moving him to the outside, but Deshaunte is gone so Milton should be the #1 guy in the slot, with Shaw taking over that outside position and then there will be a battle for the #3 spot.

I know there are plenty of things to improve on, but I'm excited to see how much talent returns next year. Just have to clean up a few things and we should be fine.

In a number of games this season, it seemed like the defense let us down when we needed them most. In an attempt to look at what went wrong, I thought it would be worth the time to take a look at the numbers in the areas that I thought were the biggest issues this season.

Issue #1: Inability to get sacks

2018: 32 sacks / 33 QB hurries
2019: 28 sacks / 33 QB hurries
To me, despite the difference in sacks only being 4, it seemed like the defense could not get sacks when we had opportunities to get one and put the opponent behind schedule. It seems like a lot of those QB hurries had opportunities to be sacks and we just couldn't execute. Oftentimes, it seemed like we would get guys in the backfield and simply miss tackles or fail to wrap up. A prime example of this was in the Iowa game, when we allowed Stanley of all people to escape the pocket and run.

Issue #2: Dropped Interceptions/Lack of Turnovers

2018: 8 Interceptions / 8 fumble recoveries
2019: 6 interceptions / 7 fumble recoveries
This was another big issue that seemingly showed up in almost every game. I was surprised to see the numbers as close to each other as they are. In previous seasons, it seemed like the defense was able to come up with a turnover when we needed it the most (Mike Rose against K-State last year). This year, however, we could not seem to get the big turnover when we needed one the most. On a number of occasions we would have perfect opportunities for interceptions, but then drop them. Could this have been due to our youth in the secondary? maybe, but with upperclassmen like Eisworth, Lewis and White, I feel that we should have at least had more interceptions/turnovers.

Issue #3: Lack of Adjustments

I can't really directly compare from season to season on this one, but it really seemed like Heacock did not do as good of a job with adjustments as we have the last few seasons. If we look at last season's K-State game, and then look at this season's, the adjustments made at halftime in the 2018 game were very clear, and we played much better football In the second half which allowed us to come back and win. Meanwhile, in the 2019 game, it seemed like little to no adjustments were made despite KSU running the ball down our throats. It seemed evident again today, as we let Claypool go off on us throughout the important parts of the game.

In conclusion, I know we lost some playmakers last season with guys like Willie Harvey, Spencer Benton, and Brian Peavy, and we were definitely hurt with the loss of Bailey, but it seemed like there was very little improvement from the defense throughout the season, and a lot less in game adjustments than we saw last season. Ultimately, the defense was not to blame for all of our losses (thanks Manning), but there was a lot of underachievement on the defensive side of the ball.

The game didn't go like we hoped it would go! This is just another stepping stone to even better teams in the short future! We're recruiting better every year since CMC has been here and playing in the best bowl possible this year! I know it sucks loosing but we just played ND we'll learn alot from it and the future is bright! Buck up and hold your heads high and be proud that CMC is our coach! Go Cyclones!!

Was it just me ... or was the difference in the size of the players for ND coming out of the tunnel to start the game shockingly different than ours. I usually don't pay much attention to that but it caused me to pause and say ... oh crap.

Several times it seemed the Irish band continued to play after our line had set.

Already 7-0.

Disappointing day and there will plenty of time to complain, but in the end it was still a senior class that leaves with 26 wins, including a bowl win.

Not going to call out everybody, but a few of my favorites;
Lima and Spears- great on the field and off. Their leadership and class will be missed.
Good-Jones- Played a ton of games all over the line. Took a lot of heat on here, but I will remember the guy that was sick as a dog at TCU last year and kept battling.
D. Jones- Mr. reliable and always willing to do the dirty work over the middle.
Pettway- Probably my favorite transfer to ISU football. Guy pretty much willed ISU to the win vs KU. Played with great effort and toughness.
J. Johnson- Guy stuck it out and finally it paid off. Great disruptive guy up front.

No doubt they are disappointed but they have represented ISU well and accomplished a great deal.

7 wins is a good year compared to the horrible years that we are all too used to. But face it, for so many other teams, including Iowa, that is a mediocre year. I don't care how bad we used to be, we should aspire for more. Unfortunately, I am afraid that might be the ceiling for Campbell. We beat only one team with a winning record this year. Plus, two of the teams we did beat (Kansas and West Virginia) should be improved next year.

My biggest concern with Campbell is that, despite how much he verbally stresses fundamentals, we seem to be regressing in fundamentals under his tenure. Take a took at Farentz, for example, and you could see slow but significant improvements in fundamentals from each year to the next. I am just not seeing that here.
