Wrestle Offs

Re-agrevated something in his :29 pinslay? Unlikely.
Ok. I think that them essentially lying is a hell of an allegation before the beginning of year wrestle-offs even happen. If we do hear at some point that Schon is beating him but they are RS him, I would want more details and would be pissed. But we hardly know enough to say that yet and they might even still be figuring out what they are going to do.

No, I wouldn’t say that. Just it seems like the wrestle off situation has not been clear. It looks to me like they’re trying to hide/cover something.

1. When they first issued brackets, Schuyler was not on them.
2. Then a bracket update was made and is said Schon/Duggan would wrestle on Oct 22 and the winner would get Schuyler on Oct 28.
3. When the results of 10/22 were released Schon and Duggan did not wrestle with no explanation. Or at least no results were posted.
4. Now the 10/28 bout order is listed and it shows Schuyler/Duggan.

My guess is that Schon is beating Schuyler, but they plan on redshirting him and so don’t want him to wrestle Schuyler in public.

Too many issues/changes to a simple wrestle off at this weight not to think something is fishy.
The 285 bracket not being posted was just a copy & paste error. Or whatever it is called, nothing else.

Not sure on the other points

It’s pure speculation, but clearly something unusual is going on at that weight. Something they don’t want is to know.

Is it an injury? Seems unlikely since both Schon and Duggan wrestled already, and then Schuyler is wrestling Friday. If Schon is injured, what exactly was the point of putting him out on Saturday in a closed door match to wreck a dude he probably smashes all the time.

Give it a rest, Gladys.

Predictions (because why not):
125: Kysen over Knopick
133: Redding over Cabanban
141: Swiderski over Frost
149: Paniro over Cam
157: Kraisser over Judge
174: Gaitan over Broderson
184: Coleman
197: Yonger
Hwt: Schon over Duggan, then Schuyler over Schon
Been waiting on Cam to come around for a few years now, really wish he was at 157, I just can't believe he doesn't have a higher top end than judge

I think judge has improved a lot over the years and I’m interested to see how he can do down at 157. I still cringe at how easily Cam was man handled by Ian in last years wrestle offs. Strength wise he was no where close to being in the battle

Maybe Schon and Duggan had their wrestle-off on the 22nd, and that's where Schon reaggravated things?

That's the only scenario I can think of that would fit the injury theory.

Origionally they had schon and Duggan going tomorrow with winner wrestling Schuyler so I doubt they wrestled Saturday.
Maybe schon got hurt this week in practice?

Ya I'm sure you are right, 157 is pretty wide open this year nationally. I'm just ready to have a year where we ball out at big 12s and nationals. There's really no reason we shouldn't have won big 12s the last couple years. It's the last step in Dresser's rebuild

Doesn’t Carr have a covid year he can use? Do we know if he’s gone after this year?

If he comes back Gaitans only path to wrestling is 174
Carr has two years left. Wether he takes next year hasn't been confirmed but there's no reason to think he won't.

The bracket that is still on Cyclones.com had Duggan and Schon wrestling the 22nd - there have been too many brackets to be sure of anything at this point.

True, but look at the ones linked to post 21 in the thread which was posted on 8/22. They have Duggan and schon on the 28th. Who knows at this point?

Exactly. Since there was no score between Duggan and Schon we have to assume that match didn’t happen as originally scheduled for whatever reason, could have been a lot of reasons including time. Now it seems as if Schon may be injured to eliminate that match and Duggan gets the try out with Sam. Probably nothing sinister going on .

Time? Cmon man. Where did they have to go? LOL.

If it is an injury, why not put him in the article with the rest of the injured wrestlers?

tOSU is going through the same thing with Feldman. He was scheduled to wrestle Orndorff tonight in the finals of their tryouts and they pulled him last minute. No mention of injury, but speculations floating around.

You’re right I was reaching there for sure , no idea when it was supposed to happen ( Schon Duggan ) or why it didn’t happen ( as far as we know ) but I‘m not ready for conspiracy theories.
