Worst rated beers

But that’s what makes them bad. I mean I get why people drink cheap mass produced beer when they’re young, I definitely drank my share back in the day, but now that I can afford good craft beer I hardly ever drink the cheap stuff.

It’s like comparing a plain McDonald’s hamburger to a big juicy bacon double cheeseburger from your favorite local restaurant. I’ll eat the plain burger if it’s my only option and I’m really hungry but every other time I’m taking the fresh local burger.

To each their own though, you can definitely save a ton of money by drinking the cheap stuff and like someone mentioned up thread, sometimes when working outside on a hot day a nice cold cheap beer hits the spot.

I'm a huge craft beer fan, but sometimes I want to have a few and I can't really drink more than 1 or 2 IPAs in a sitting anymore. There are a lot of situations where I go back towards light beers these days.

I’ve gotten burnt out on some of the IPAs and heavy beers myself. Also been drinking a lot more lighter options-pils,lagers and kolsch but from local breweries.

I've never had a firetrucker beer that I wanted a second of. Their popularity is crazy to me.

Used to go there quite a bit when we lived in Ankeny because it’s on the bike trail and they have a nice patio but you’re right, they don’t make the greatest beer.

I love dark and flavorful beers but the most I can drink is one or two. I once went to the Hessian House and ordered a Guinness and my wife said "so you're not ordering dinner?!"

Some of the worst rated are the best selling beers in the world lol. Heineken is absolutely a beer I wouldn't drink for free.

How about Corona? Fails every taste test and it’s so bad you can’t drink it without a lime. But it sells like crazy thanks to some great marketing.

Such a misconception on most people's part. A regular 4.2% Guinness is only about 15 more calories/12 oz compared to a Bud Light.

I'd rather have a steakhouse burger than Culvers 10 out of 10 times but I still eat Culver's every once in awhile. It could be selection, it could be my mood, it could be a lot of things like when I'm tailgating, I'm not drinking 10 craft beers but I could put down 10 Miller Lites but those basic American beers don't belong on the "worst beers list"...it should be reserved the Beer 30s, Beast, OE, etc.

Because if you think Bud Light or Miller Lite is the worst beer ever, you haven't drank enough beers...

How many people really, I mean truly, enjoy the huge IPA, DIPA, TRIPA, craze? Are these beers actually good, or do people just want to think they are good? I've tried quite a few of the craft beers and half the time they end up tasting like ****. I'll drink PBR, Busch, Miller Lite, and all the other "crap" beer, too.

They've got a nice atmosphere and good service generally, and I enjoy a couple of their darker beers, but yeah overall there's not much special here. It's also kind of a shame they don't seem to try much new.
