Work and Back Home Trip

I use Airport Road right now all I can. I have to pass through the construction bottleneck on Duff, and that takes forever.

Be lucky your place of work doesn't involve messing with South 16th. It's ridiculous how bad it is on that road right now.

They didn't even do the most basic planning there. Just made a giant checkpoint.

When I do have to pass through, it's usually before 5 AM. It's strangely less bad then. All other times, well, you said it best.

I'm making big plans for a daily trip to work and then back home.
Right now, the plan is to keep it cheap and just use my car. Anyone else made this trip and have some ideas? TIA

1. Do not pick up hitchhikers unless they have the rainbow logo on their chainsaw.

2. Be sure to stop at all the Red Octagons.

3. Check to see that your car has four tires before departing.

4. At work, park crooked on the yellow lines to show your coworkers that you are Very Important.

5. Remember, truck nuts give the wrong idea: that your vehicle is transgender.

6. Only sissies use turn signals.

7. Entrance ramps should be taken as slowly as possible so that the guy behind you has to come to a full stop. It might save his life. He won't be grateful, but that type of person never is.

8. Exit ramps should be taken at 5+ mph over the recommended speed because whoever made up those numbers didn't know how to have fun.

9. Riding other people's bumpers is a courtesy that reminds them to be thoughtful of others.

10. Keep the window rolled down in case you need to yell profanities at whoever pushed the button in the crosswalk so that you had to stop. On purpose.

I do the reverse trip at that time, from your work to your home.

try and get some rest

i ususally close my eyes and rest on my trip back home from work to prepare for my evening at home

some of the best rest i get

One time I took my wifes car to work since mine had a dead battery. I changed all the settings for the radio, seats, etc to my liking for the ride home. It also spiced up my marriage for one day, so that was nice.

You didn't say that you had to put gas in it. But it was the wife's car, so that's automatically assumed.
