Woodstock 99

i just get sick of the ****** hardo bs from some posters on here about the next generation. these kids are dealing with **** you and your nintendo couldn't even fathom 20 years ago.

these kids are gonna make the robots to wipe your ass in 30 years. someday you will be a soft target and you'll be happy we raised a good open thinking group of people to take over.

Maybe you're not aware but this has been happening for a few decades now. Every generation is considered soft/lazy until the next generation comes along. In 20 years from now you'll have Millennials on CF talking about how bad ass they were with their student debt, unemployment at nearly 4%, etc.

69 was heavy with weed, most tokers don’t get physical, just goofy and hungry to my knowledge.

Just weed? Psychedelics aren't weed my friend. My uncle went and there was just as much "head banging" then. Maybe a different head......but those flea bitten, maggot infested greasy long hairs with their "if you can't be with the one you love, love the one your with" BS motto act as if giving the world the clap was a gift.

Ok, yes other stuff also, but not the meth/coke stuff that sets you off. I have never touched any of that stuff so I’m going off what I hear but seems acid people are also so freaked out that they are more in a stupor.

Booze. Drugs. Giant crowd of people in their late teens/20's. . Agressive music. Topless females. Mosh pits. I'm shocked things went south.
I saw Metallica, NIN, Henry Rollins, Green Day and RHCP (agressive music) at '94 at age 19. Boozed, drugged, and saw topless females and was in a mosh pit (during NIN, was great)...never did I see one act of violence.

Didn't go to '99 and I'm glad I didn't.

I haven't either. Chemicals from both era's, the greasy 60's and the grunge 90's set you off that is certain. Which is worse, hard to tell. Easy to look at that 90's concert and say "wow" what a bunch of destructive low life's. But ask Sharon Tate what those 60's chemicals can do to people.

This brings back memories of the CD I listened to all the time in high school

K guys, there's some white male aggression in here. Let's tone it down.

Is this documentary insightful at all? I feel like if I watch it I will just get angry and depressed and not learn anything new.

I was on Ozzfest tour with Slipknot. Hatebreed, Slipknot, and a bunch of other hardcore bands. I have never seen such a big traveling festival be so organized. Sharon Ozzborn flipped out when a band member stage dived into the crowd. It was so well organized. Right from Breakfast and lunch, to where the showers were. It was unreal. No rape, no fires, it was just a traveling party.

Just watched this and here are a few observations:

#1 People in large groups will do stupid ****. Rape, looting, arson, etc. Using fake excuses like $4 water. Here's an idea, leave.
#2 People will go through miserable conditions for the dumbest reasons. I don't care how much I wanted to hear a band, the first time poop touched my skin, I would be going home.
#3 Yowza, that Limp Bizkit song made me want to break something. Same for Korn. That Saturday night lineup was asking for trouble.
#4 Kid Rock sucked back then too.
#5 I loved how the crowd was hateing on MTV
#6 NO ONE DESERVES TO BE TOUCHED WITHOUT PERMISSION. With that said, why as a man or woman would you get naked at a concert?
#7 Strange how the 94 one was so calm compared to 99.

Pretty interesting watch. By 99 I was close to thirty so it was past my time but it brought back some memories.
