At this point Nebraska losing every close game has become a tradition that needs to continue. College football is all about tradition.
5 reasons why the hoks can win at least 8 games every year as a mediocre team: Neb, Illini, NW, Minn, and Purdue. It’s almost like getting to play Kansas 5 times every year.

These are traditions that must be cherished.
Yup, they only have to show up against ISU then they can lay back and have a cake walk through the Big Ten west. Same story every year.
Not me. I hope Neb is buried every game until the end of time.
The schedule the next month is laughably easy. Outside of OU, they get North Dakota, Georgia Southern, Rutgers and Indiana. If they get to 4-2, the Husker faithful will be right back on the train. It's pretty funny though, it's not even week 1 and Husker fans are telling each other how much better fans they are bc they won't turn on Frost.
This is what I wish.
That they were playing North Dakota State instead of North Dakota next week.
Also I wonder who would want to go there to coach at this point, certainly not anyone in a decent P5 HC job already.

Terrible atmosphere, unrealistic expectations, delusional fanbase, overbearing control from AD and boosters, Terrible location, terrible recruiting local etc etc. The list just goes on.

Yeah, but today’s game was against a team similar in quality to the teams they’ll play during that stretch.
I think Nebraska really needed to win today. Not just for the sake of the win, but to gain some positive momentum and feel good about their program. They’re starved for it after the way the last several seasons have gone.
They could have had a fun “this kind of feels like old times” moment if they were undefeated when Oklahoma comes to town. Instead, they’re 0-1 in the Big Ten with a loss to the one team they beat last year.
They could have had some momentum heading into the easier stretch of their league schedule. Now, unless they beat Oklahoma, they’ll be a very average looking 2-2 going into that stretch with three games that look like losses stacked at the end of the schedule.
And if they don't? This could be a fun trainwreck to watch.
Nebraska being a trainwreck is must watch television. It's a guilty pleasure. I can't quit you Scott Frost!

It's been hilarious to watch their program fade into irrelevance.
Need to find link to the presser when Frost was hired, was driving through Nebraska that day and you could just feel all the tingliness in kNu nation. That presser was such a Frost Orgy, needs to be played every Saturday this season.
Alberts is going to have to spend A LOT to can Frost and Hoiberg and get decent hires.

During that time, Nebraska had two 6-4 seasons in 1967 and 1968. Every other year was 9+ wins.
That's an insane run that built up a delusional fanbase.
The college football landscape has changed and unless they strike gold twice, there's not a lot of inherent advantages that separates Nebraska from most other Midwest football programs.
