Will Breece be traded?

Hall would have been a huge upgrade over what the team has, do I think they can get a better player in the 3rd round than him in the draft, no, I don't. Hall was hurt by playing for the Jets and is going to be a free agent after the season. Overall he is a top 10 back in the league, hard to ignore that fact and what he would have provided for the Chiefs.
Why is nobody offering higher than a 4 for him? What do you know that every GM in the league doesn't?

Take it easy on deadeye. His 5-4 chiefs are in 3rd place and he's a little testy.

I know the same amount as you do about the situation, which is nothing but guessing. RBs are not a matter of need for many teams, but it was for the Chiefs. You talk like Hall will be lucky to find a job this off season, and is just an average back. Today he had 83 rushing on 21 carries and another 42 yards receiving and a TD on one reception. Not a bad day, currently 12th in the league in rushing,

Because they don't think he's that big of an upgrade. As I've mentioned before, KC doesn't have problems running the ball when they want to. As far as the pick go nobody has drafted as well as they have the last 5 years. They are going to have to let some guys walk this year so they intend on drafting their replacements. I'm sure Veach feels like it's worth more finding a new TE with a 2nd or 3rd that adding a back they don't feel they really need. Especially when KC doesn't believe in paying big money for backs. Even if they brought him in there's a 90% chance they'd let him walk. It never really made sense for them which is what I've been trying to say. They also drafted Pacheco in the last round. Why didn't anyone offer higher than a 4 for Breece if he's such an elite back?
Pacheco got hurt last year and he's hurt now. Breece and his pass catching abilities make him a far superior back than Hunt. Breece is good with the godforsaken JETS. The freaking Jets. And apparently Veach offered a 4th so they must have been willing to do something. Plus Mahomes is getting older and "might" be on the downward trend so beefing up the run game would definitely benefit him and the offense.

As to why teams weren't willing to offer a 3rd for him, I think only teams that consider themselves Super Bowl contenders would trade for a RB and most of them are set at RB. Bad teams have more pressing needs and Breece wasn't going to suddenly make them a contender. At the end of the season, teams will evaluate their needs and one will see Breece fitting into their plan. Might be the Jets.

I'm saying any team would be foolish to pay top$$ for a running back unless you're one of maybe 3-4 in the game.

I don't know he's a better pass catcher than Kareem Hunt. Thats one of the things he's really good at. Career wise they average about the same ypc and have caught pretty close to the same amount of balls per year.

That's crazy.
Really? Look at the numbers. The idea you think Breece Hall going from a situation where he's the teams #1 player in Net York to KC where he's splitting time at back and probably their 4-5th offensive options laughable. He's not Kelce, Rice, or Worthy. He'd get 8-10 touches of in KC.

I can see how you’re impressed with Kareem Hunt’s 264 yards rushing and 9 catches for 63 yards this year.
I'm totally good with their RB's when they make an effort to use them. Hunt has done fine. The reason the run I g game hasn't looked good at times is because Andy abandons it. Even when it seems to be working well he abandons it. I read an article today that said the only way they were going to go higher than a 4 for him is if they had plans to resign him. Otherwise they want the draft pick. Hunt has been fine when he's been called on. KC isn't going to pay for running backs. That's just not how they build teams and work with the cap. They feel like they can get similar production at 1/3 of the price. They do seem like they may be on to something given their success the last 10 years.

Yes I have looked at the numbers! Hunt has 236 yards per year (incl 2025) and Breece 378 per year (incl 2025).
Hunt had over 800 yards in 2 years and you'll never guess who that was with.

Because they don't want to pay for him. He put up yet another RB statline today that KC hasn't had in... many games? Years?

Saying breece is a bad back is NBK stuff. Again and again and again. Bad takes.

He's a really good RB. Full stop. Better than anyone KC has has in, what, a decade now?

He's been the Jets #1 offensive weapon ffs. Hunt wasn't even getting touches every week and is maybe the 5-6th option. Why would they pay 4x the price for similar production?

Breece Hall is not as good as a young Kareem Hunt was ffs. Look at Hunts first 20 games. His rookie year he basically had 1400 yds and 500 yds receiving. His 2nd year he had 875rushing and 400 receiving yards in 11 games.

He's the only person on the entire team anyone has to gameplan for, yet he still clears everyone KC has played this decade. I wonder what he could do with a supporting cast!

Congrats. Breece stayed good, longer. And still will do so. Which is why (tragically) the Jets wanted to sell him high, and now are most likely going to franchise tag him.

Expert GM of the board: how many bad players get tagged? Your take is exceptionally bad. Learn ball.

Well there must be teams lining up to trade for him then. I wouldn't worry about it. Im glad the Chiefs don't pay for running backs. I don't give a **** where they went to college.

You don't seem to understand how contracts work, expert GM. Similar to how you don't understand how stats work, apparently.
I understand the Chiefs and why they and most teams with elite QBs don't want to pay much for RB's. Its never going to be a focal point of their offense and they feel like they can get Breece's production at half the price with 2 guys with different styles that give them different looks. Its not about saying Breece Hall isn't a good back, its saying he isn't worth to the Chiefs what the Jets wanted. Go to a place you can get 15-20 touches a game. He'll make more money too
