Yeah, it sounds like mean drunk, had other things in his system as well, could potentially have some mental health issues.

I think I remember there being some sort of sexual assault accusation, too.

One of those "two drunk college students" ones. Messy/hurt feelings/he said she said ugliness. But that doesn't mean something sinister didn't happen calling into question his entire character.

The type easily looked past back then but... not so much anymore.

More recent events... what a bizarre story... seem to be bearing this notion out.

Just blame it on mental health and he'll likely get a free pass from a PR standpoint. That wont help the legal issues though.
