JP has to have a pretty decent list to replace any coach at any time. Add to that the fact that McD was probably on the verge of being fired a couple months ago, that JP probably knew about Creighton a couple days before the rest of us, and this doesn't seem like such a rush hire.

Probably more going on behind the scenes than will ever be admitted to. It all started with Altman who had been having discussions with Phil Knight for the better part of a week. Add in the fact that Pollard and Rasmussen have a good relationship and the possibility is there to connect the dots.

Time was of the essence. We have a rather depleted roster as it was, and couldn't really wait around to see if our 5+ commits were going to wait for us. We got our guy, and quickly. I was never really ever sold with Greg as head coach, but I tried to support it through to the end.

I couldn't be happier with this decision. I was not that impressed with the rest of the list. I really hope he keeps Nurse on board. I believe we'll see a night and day difference between the gameplanning and halftime adjustments with this new staff vs the most recent staff...
