Man so sorry to hear this. Heaven just gained another ISU fan even if it was earlier than anyone wanted. Hope you and your family are surrounded by loved ones. Just plain sucks.

Also stated this wasn't just a loss for my wife, but that this was a loss for both of us, and that I need to make sure im taking it easy on myself as well
Be there for your wife by not just supporting her but by also breaking down when you need to.
I don't know how you are wired but I just tried to stay "too busy." I thought if my brain was working on something else, then I couldn't think about the loss. Then I'd go to a restaurant/grocery store/game and see a baby and then it would hit. I would squeeze my wife's hand pretty hard and without saying anything, she would know, and give me the "I'm here for you look."
Been there... three times. We had a great OB at the time and he tried to share some words of wisdom and comfort, but there is really nothing that can be said to make the feelings go away. I'm sorry for your loss.

So far this year we’ve had to replace our furnace and AC (18k), roof (50k - replace wood, mold damage, etc), water heater and softener (4k) and washer and dryer (2k).
That’s in 5 months.
We started the year feeling like we were maybe half way out of the mile deep tunnel we were in only to be pushed down a couple miles deeper. I don’t know bout y’all but we were already treading water and now we have a **** ton of new loans added on top. I may test out the new roof
Anyways, just venting like we all do in this thread. Love you all.

Our tax returns are being audited suddenly and our startup Pokemon shop on eBay to try and make some money go to be great and had 8,000 all 5-star reviews. eBay terminated due to a bank document error on their end and even after AG involved they won’t reconsider as it would break their no appeal policy. So we’re officially dead.

Had 2 neighbors replace theirs last year at $25k each, I believe it.
