Smack talk about Iowa’s (lack of) offense aside, Tory Taylor is incredible and I respect anyone that perfects their craft the way he has. Honestly a super valuable weapon

I don’t know how they pick all American punters but I highly doubt there were 2-3 punters better at controlling exactly where the ball landed and died last year.

Petras couldn't make easy throws against SD State. I mean easy, scripted passes that were not thrown under pressure like a quick little flare pass to his running back. Watching the highlights I kept thinking, "Is this they guy local media has been touting as having a break-out year this season?".

Will he improve that much by next Saturday? Logic says no, but I am shopping online for new one of these just in case:

Weird things happen in this one game, but Dekkers showed a lot more in one game than Petras has in a career.

All you can do about local Iowa media is listen to and read CF instead.

I don’t mind the football local media lately since Iowa has been beating us (although dodging our best team), but the basketball local media last year was probably the worst of all time crowning Iowa’s really average team and ignoring ISU’s vastly superior team/season. ISU might have hit something like 28-3 or 29-2 if we got to play a jv big ten schedule. Big Ten champ in the road was super easy compared to a bottom half big 12 team.

They will have 0 turnovers, 0 penalties next week and Petras will have A CAREER DAY next week.

Fixed it for ya. It is our luck that we will control the time of pos, total yards, number of first downs, total rush yards and throwing yards, and lose by 3. I hope I am wrong, but we can't get that monkey or APE off our back.

My hatred of Iowa can never be contained to one week.

Two things I am wondering:

1. Wasn’t their game yesterday a 0-0 tie? I swear Hawk fans declared that TD’s are the only points that count.

2. Do we think the ISUCVMB is up to the task of defending themselves after last year?

I'm planning on telling every Iowa fan this week that I can't believe they only scored one TD vs a FCS school. Just so they have to through the trouble/embarrassment of explaining to me that, in fact, they didn't score any touchdowns against a FCS school
