Even in rebuilding years you see glimpses of hope and promise and that has not been the case this year. Even our "hidden" gem in Conditt is getting less minutes than inferior players in the lineup.
Conditt played more minutes than Young in both Big 12 games. He played more than Young and Jacobson against TCU. It seems to be trending that way.

I'm still pretty excited about Conditt and Bolton's futures. Griffin has showed promise at times as well. If you don't see it, that's fine.

Griffin just needs to continue to play with energy and be aggressive. I'd love to see him start attacking the rim off the dribble more.

I guess that is part of my problem. It doesn't need to be trending in that direction, it needs to happen now. There is no reason Jacobson is still in the lineup, he has provided next to nothing. Throw Griffin out there and let him figure some things out in game. If the season is lost, then there is no reason we are being conservative with the young guys. Let the learn, fail, and grow in the course of a game. Hell, throw Terrence in the game and help him get some film for when he transfers next year, (I seriously doubt he returns).

Haven’t read much of this thread but:
1- XF is a true stretch 4 who can hit 3’s.. He’s also physically ready. This alone changes isu offense drastically imo.

2- Dubar is 6’7 wing who is an excellent defender who is long and very athletic who is capable of hitting 3’s.

3- Jaden W and Blackwell are both long and athletic and good defenders who can both shoot deep.

4- Javon Johnson(sit out) 6’7.. long and athletic and indications from this inside say he’s been very solid.

5- Bolton, Tre, Grill... I highly doubt we see any of these 3 get worse from 3pt line. Tre and Grill just aren’t ready but we have no choice.

6- 1-2 more will be added to this roster in spring/summer..

So you ask where will shooting come from? I ask where will defense come from.. this incoming class plus Javon will add at least (6) new pieces... that’s a ton.

next years team imo won’t even look close to this years team..good or bad that’s yet tbd..

it’s imperative Prohm holds onto upcoming class

We are definitely adding a lot of length next year. **** on Prohm all you want but he went out and killed it in this recruiting class. And spare me the “we’re only a top 25 class because of numbers”. Numbers are a good thing if you want to replace most of this squad.

I bet if you asked the guys on the team they wouldn't say the season is lost

I have a hard time saying he killed it when there is one top 100 guy. A fringe 150 guy and the other guys are 290 and 361.

Who's our alpha? It isn't Hali. I thought it may have been MJ. Solo is tough but he's no alpha. Who on this team can get in every other players' face and demand better?

Hali is a cheerleader and is a great 2nd in command. But we have nobody that COMMANDS respect and has EARNED that respect.
We need a Georges

Grill was a good shooter in high school right? Is it impossible for him to have a Matt Thomas type turnaround.

It's possible for any of the young guys to have a Matt Thomas type turnaround.

In all seriousness I do think Dubar, Foster, and Walker can all shoot very well. Will it translate next season maybe, maybe not but they have a chance to come in and shoot well.
