Honestly, I thought a win would be difficult but definitely possible. I think that about every game. I don't write off the Kansas games either until we fall behind (if we do) by about 20 points.

Is there anybody who attends or watches a game and thinks there is no chance to win going in?

All I hope for moving forward is the team the best thuggyball shows up the rest of the year

How do you feel now? I try telling everyone we have talent. We are going to have some down times because we are young. But we are well coached and talented.

Agreed. If you look at how this season has unfolded to date it's more or less the same pattern - stretches of bad basketball interrupted by flashes of potential and ability. I would love to see them put it all together and make a nice little run in February but by now I've accepted that this whole season is going to be a roller coaster of a ride. I love the foundation that's being built, though. If Shayok and the incoming class are as good as advertised things are setting up for something special next season.

Exactly. Talley and Brase aren't hurt, and we dont inexplicably lose to UWM... and the last second shot falls vs Texas - and this team despite its lack of depth and experience is 14-7 and probably a last 4 in type team as of right now.

Typically I always think we have a chance no matter how small it may be. We just need to play a good game and have things fall our way. For me there are only two games in recent memory that I actually was reluctant in watching just because I just knew it was going to get ugly. Those were this year @ Oklahoma in football and WVU in basketball. Who knew?

Congrats to the guys for coming together and getting a good win. Looks like the Big12 is stacking up like usual, KU is floating to the top and the rest of the league is beating each other up. I was disappointed in our showing against the SEC as well. I hate to say it but we don't seem as strong of a league as I thought a week or two ago.

I think the conference is fine...look at the losses to the SEC and a most of them made sense fairly even match ups on the SEC home floor. SEC is as strong as it has been for years...certainly ahead of the PAC 12 and even the BIG. WV trending down...TTech trending back up...KU getting better on defense...the rest beating each other up. Fun season so far...

You are no longer allowed to watch any more ISU games. Sorry.

I hear ya. Already had responded w/sarcasm to my own post before you. First of all, my post had nothing to do with not being coached enough, that's for sure. Again, love the way the team played Wednesday. Never dreamt a Babb-less team would limit the turnovers vs. WV like they did. However, one road win at either Baylor or Tech will still shock me. Why? Baylor's best shot is coming as they have lost several recent close games at the very end. Lead both at KU and OU in the last minutes. They are desperate for a win. Will be interesting how Donovan and Lindell handle the offense vs. the zone. As for Tech..Keenan Evans has been superman compared to what he was in Ames a few weeks ago. Just wish we had a few cupcakes on this darn conference schedule, but thats why we love/praise the big12. Hopefully we can get our game on the floor on the road and give ourselves a chance down the wire.
