This sounds a lot like the Thanksgivings of my youth at my grandparents' farm with my parents and all the aunts and uncles playing cards. Great times.
Same here. Thanksgiving was usually a couple days at grandmas when I was a kid and most of the non eating time was spent playing cards. My brother and my cousin and I would always wait until the card players retired and then sneak into the kitchen and snag some leftover pie.

Yeah we'd hit the food around noon, then the parents/aunts/uncles would break out the cards and I think usually played hearts. All of us kids/cousins would head outside, they had two ponds and lots of land, so we'd just get into all kinds of trouble out on the farm. Then we'd gather back at the house for a second round of food, adults would play more cards and we'd bust out the board games. It was awesome.

Wife said eating at 1:00. Got the smoker prepped for the bird, the jar of Old Smokey Apple Pie drank, feeling good for tomorrow.
