What if you are Pollard and.....

SOMEWHAT off topic, but if we would beat TCU tomorrow, I just don't feel it'd have the same excitement. Crazy how thing change....like others have said, I think some would darn near be mad it happened.

Only way he stays for me is to go 7-5 in the regular season and win the bowl game.

otherwise, he gone

I'm slightly less-demanding -- 6-6 and a bowl win (considering we're already "in the hole" as far as likelihood, being 2-3 after easiest stretch of schedule). ISU also would need to be relatively competitive vs. two of other 3 among TCU, BU and OU in the process.

If we finish 5-7, I think Rhoads should stay. That would be a 3-4 finish down the stretch against four ranked teams with another receiving votes. Honestly that would be an encouraging finish for me. 4-8 or worse and he can hit the road. I think we'll be 2-10 for what it's worth.

Jamie will NOT fire cpr of his own volition no matter how many games Rhoads wins or loses the rest of the way...Jamie and Paul are tight and You don't fire your friends..............

I'm NOT looking forward to another Trevone Boykin blow out tonight but with a defense that gives up 776 yards to a fair tx tech team.....

The skies the limit (on points by boykin and co) as they say.

Last year we went 2-10 and were outscored by 188 points on the season.

This year if we go 2-10 and are only outscored by 187 points, JP will consider that to be enough improvement to keep Rhoads.

After watching the TTU game....again.....with seven minutes left in the 4th quarter we punted. Their punt defense team basically stood up and walked off the field. Had no intention of returning the punt. Blowouts happens, we all know that. But that is embarrassing. I haven't witnessed anything like that since my day back when Bosworth, Hollaway et al were at OU and it was so bad the starters for OU were done at halftime and came out of the locker room in sweats when the second half started. We are just a couple of touchdowns better than a historically bad KU team. If I was JP, it's going to take more than a CPR upset special to keep him locked in. But's that's if I was JP.

I think it will have more to do with how the Riemans and Sukups feel than what JP wants. If they want CPR to stay he'll stay.

Iowa State manages to knock off Baylor or TCU. Does CPR earn another year?

While I'd never root against my clones I can't help but thinking if CPR pulls one of these out of his arse we get stuck with another year of this BS.

We are beyond the point where 1 big win can be the rallying cry to keep CPR. For me 5-7 record is the benchmark for keeping CPR. The only way 4 wins makes a case is if we are competive in all games but Baylor. Tonight's game is critical for ISU to keep it close because we are at home and we need to show some moxie after last week's debacle.

The difference is that OSU win made us bowl eligible. This won't even get us close.

U could be right the big donors usually get their way if their willing to open their $$$ Chests and help get rid of Coach Rhoads and help Fund the New Coach.....

Short of that Coach Rhoads might just be here for another year....When things with the football program and that's any football progam gets bad enough the Fans Stop Going to the Games....
