What are you drinking tonight?

I enjoyed it - definitely had a unique profile compared to the (many) other IPAs I’ve tried. I’ve since seen Pseudo at a few other stores here in NJ/PA, so they must have made a push to distribute here. Haven’t seen any of the other ‘sue’ series yet though.
Im still hoping Yuengling gets to Iowa, and not just you guys out east, sooner than later. A few years ago they said they had a deal with Molson Coors I think that was going to distribute them Nationwide. And would be adding states in phases. Since then I think they have only added a state or 2.

It’s not an expensive bourbon by any means, just an entry level for Weller but it’s a smooth easy drinker for the money. Definitely hard to find around here though.

Hopslam is a great boozy IPA.

i was talking about the Willett Rye in that Lagunitas brew. i'm a rye guy, and i was pretty impressed when i tried it. in the under-$70 range, i can't think of anything better i've tried here in Iowa City -- even their base offering was really good. for reference, my usual go-to swings back and forth between Bulleit Rye and High West Double Rye (sadly, Templeton lost its edge when it monkeyed with its lineup 5-10 years ago).

oooh, i have not seen that before! i tried Willett for the first time in Cleveland a few years ago. wish you could get it here in Iowa!

Personally, I'm slamming a Hopslam right now as I cook pasketti and meatballs.
I love Hopslam! Some call it overrated, but it was one of the first big IPAs that you could get in Iowa. I loved the hunt for it too. Now it’s on the shelf for weeks, but there was a time you had to know when the truck was unloading.

I got 4 bottles when Hy-Vee had there sale awhile back got it for $20 a bottle. Nothing better than a muleberry mule!! Had a few last night!
Agreed. I'm a big gin fan, and wasn't sure how it was going to taste. Sometimes fruit flavored liquors can get kind of "cough syrupy", but Revelton nails it. And it really plays well with the ginger beer and lime. It's hard to get me off of my G&T's, but I've really been enjoying the Mulberry mules, recently.

Bottle of Oberon cab with beef tenderloin a bit ago. Thinking of two fingers of Widow Jane or Calumet bourbon in a bit.

Oh yeah the Willittized was good but I’ve never actually tried Willett Rye. I’ve got several variations of Templeton that aren’t bad but nothing too special. I do recommend the tour at Templeton Distillery though, they cover a lot of its history and is pretty interesting.

Apothic Red. Can't argue with <$8 bottles at Sams Club.

Anyone have recs on ~$10 every day reds?

Had a few beers and switched over to peanut butter whiskey. Been sampling a few lately and am now on Sheep Dog. Pretty good stuff.
