Just bought some Confluence Des Moines IPA and Hopslam. I hate paying $20 for a 6 pack but I guess it's cheaper than drinking a Bud Light at the bar.

I think with a lot of these types of beer that come out once a year a lot of things happen.

#1 It's less about the beer changing and more about my tastes changing

#2 I remember them being better/worse than they actually are.

#3 I love IPA's but that doesn't mean I love DIPA's twice as much.

I went back to 2013 when I first tried it and I gave it a 4/5 on Untappd. I had it on tap in 2016 and gave it a 3.75. 2015 I gave it a 4.

I had a can last night. It's good, like most Hopslam's. Boozy, resin taste, all that.

I like it, but I'm not sure I like it $3.33 per can.
