NFL: Week 1

If history has any bearing, it's more like the Patties will trade Garropalo away and he flames out with his new team while Brady keeps chugging along. Meanwhile, in the 2017 draft, the Patties will once again draft Brady's "replacement".

This is much more likely.

I'm really looking forward to when Brady finally retires. The Pats will probably still be "good" but not as good. Then they can spend five to ten years looking for "The Next Brady" like the Broncos looked for "The Next Elway".

I just want the Pats to fall back down to earth and have Belicheck retire.

Still a couple of Week 1 games left, but there is still a lot to comment on from this weekend.

-Jameis Winston looked really good. Yes, it was against the Falcons D, but man did he throw some pretty passes. He had a lot of doubters coming out of college, but man he looks like the real deal.

-Almost 2000 thousand yards and 143 points combined for Indy/Detroit and Oakland/New Orleans. That's some good offense... and terrible defense.

-Forget Terrance Williams and his dumb play at the end of the game. Dallas can't be happy with that outing. Not the start Zeke Elliot was hoping for. And 1 catch for Dez?

I never doubted that Winston could be a good QB. Wasn't sure he had the mentality to be a pro. He's shown some maturity so far. He's got a long ways to go for a successful career though.

Dak looked ok for the Cowgirls, but I think he's a big reason that Dez had only one catch. That offense is going to be hurting without solid QB play.

The Patriots are pretty darn good even without several starters. Either that or Arizona is not nearly as good as many have predicted. We shall see.

I'm thinking the Cards just had a bad week 1. They'll be running on all cylinders in a few weeks I think. NE Defense is pretty darn good too.
