WBB: General All-NCAA Thread - Not Team Cyclones Stuff

Not many degrees around better than a Stanford degree. In WBB there is some money, but I'm guessing the Stanford degree is better most NIL deals.
And you can say FU to the officials when you leave the court and nothing will happen to you. Not even when your coach gets on the floor. sorry still bitter

Definitely true. But some kids are only thinking of basketball. If they think student first…then no doubt it’s an amazing opportunity.

It was bone of contention here when Taylor Greenfield picked Stanford over ISU IIRC. "She could have been a star at ISU and chose to be a role player at Stanford!". She ended up with a degree with Stanford printed on it and two Final Fours so got the best out of it academically and athletically.

Best thing for both parties. Sadly, she was never going to be able to play again. With an injury retirement she can still get a full ride but not take up a roster spot. Iowa has a chuck full roster so her move helps her team.

Better toss than a lot of folks do throwing out the 1st pitch.

The interesting thing is that HVL appears to have spent zero time with her new team in the off season - will be interesting to see if she can mesh with that group. TCU will be drama central between her and the Prince fiasco.

Not really a fan of Lith but she was trying to win a medal in Paris so at least had a good reason for not hanging around in Texas all summer. Not thinking it hurts TCU much, I think she's quite a bit overrated and will guess she is not going to be playing PG. Will be interesting to see how the rest of TCU roster gels.

We have six new players that will first scrimmage with Ryan next week. Ryan didn't feel the need to be in Ames this summer. Considering she likely didn't need the school credits I didn't care if she was in Ames or Timbuktu from June/July/August. There's months of practice ahead.

Do not blame HVL for missing either - but would make a big distinction between her that is on her 3rd team in 3 years and Ryan who is in her 5th year with the program.

TCU was dangerous last year until the injury bug hit. At the same time, watching them at the Big12 tournament after getting Prince back was underwhelming. They were pretty much a big mess team-wise. Real lack of cohesion. And while I wanted Prince to impress me…she didn’t.
