If he really wants to become the next ISU WBB head coach, he might want to consider doing something like this.
I completely agree - let's see what he can do to build a staff, game execution, etc. AAC isn't a bad conference in terms of talent/competition.
The only downside to losing Billy is that he is our top recruiter. Good for him though
I wouldn't want to lose him, but I also find the potential idea of him getting promoted to head coach after Bill retires kind of icky because of the whole nepotism of it all. I think Billy is a great recruiter and probably a good coach, but I think he needs to prove it elsewhere if he wants to be head coach here.

Nooner could be a coup for Wichita State, the guy has been around the NBA (Player development-not as a player), winning NCAA programs (like Brenda's Maryland), and was a Jayhawk. Impressive resume and on top of it, as others have noted, the guy knows Kansas and other parts of the country.
She chose Louisville over Baylor when she committed in 2019, so she is very familiar with Mulkey.
