Ohio State's press was eating the Hawks alive in the 3rd quarter but they bounced back in the 4th to clinch a big roadie versus #2. Clark with a triple double. Hawks outrebounded Buckeyes by 20.

Indiana also won as the roadie in the other ranked matchup at Michigan.
And LSU literally dismantled Kristy Curry and Alabama last night as well. Which was interesting to me because about 3 days ago on another forum there was a guy who I often lock horns with who said, "Well LSU hasn't played anybody except Arkansas who even had a pulse, just wait till they play Alabama Monday night". I replied and said, "You must think you're on a football board".

I've seen some of the "they haven't played anyone" chatter in the Boneyard. They are undefeated with good players and a great coach (love her or hate her, she's a Hall of Famer) and people talk like it's a mid-major that's 19-0.

Did catch a bit of the LSU/Arkansas game. Think I noted here we want no part of Arkansas in the NCAA.

Yes and Arkansas turned right around after playing out of their gourd and lost to SC by 43 points. And before going to LSU they beat lowly Vanderbilt on a desperation 3 pointer with about 1/10 of a second left. They're like the Dallas Cowboys who can let you down every time you get faith in them.

Watched most of the 2nd half of that Vandy game while riding bike at gym. The last couple of minutes must have run 15 minutes plus....extended my ride time, had to see the end. Was a rerun so I knew the two banked in threes were coming.

Short bench UConn at old rival Tennessee tonight. UConn scored 33 points in the 1st quarter and than 7 points in the 2nd. Not sure I've that abrupt a flip. Geno was pretty cooked about the 2nd quarter reffing, and he totally wrong.

What is wrong with coaches and being dicks to Holly Rowe? She's amazing. UCONN needs to give her a public apology after that childish tirade by Geno

Geno and Holly have a fantastic relationship. She can ask him almost anything and he’s going to respond honestly with how he’s feeling. She’s a tough cookie, don’t let her sweetness and awesomeness fool you. She’s one of the best to do it and those two have that relationship where he can be real with her like that.

This is spot on - when she talked to him post game, you could tell there are no hard feelings between the two of them. I appreciated the fact Geno called out the officials, they were horrible.

None of that excuses his behavior in that moment.

It does when someone said he owed Holly an apology. As someone in her spot that’s exactly what you want, honestly and real answers. Not boring coach speak. She got a great quote from him and she’s gotten things like that from him before.

Geno gets a lot of hate because of many things but the dude is not what you think he is. Met him many times being in CT and he is a great guy who has fun, tells it how it is (whether you agree or not) and honestly doesn’t take life too seriously.

I wonder if the upper level teams will help the lower ones to draw better recruits?

I am going with no. Unless Baylor rebounds we are going to maybe find ourselves on top of a pretty bad WBB league. More concerned with how that impacts OUR recruiting down the line. We are in Big Ten country and that league is clearly better right now. We have a good class for 2023 but what happens after that?

Good question. Baylor has been on top of an often mediocre conference for a while. Big 12 has always had a top tier behind Baylor of 2-4 teams….then a big drop.

Pretty good TV game on Thursday with Brenda's squad traveling to Iowa City in a Top 10 matchup. Maryland's been the one Big Ten team Iowa hasn't been able to beat the last few years. I stumbled onto one of their games a couple ago, Iowa got beat badly but the teams combined for a crazy 200 points. It's was like an NBA no defense all-star game. Don't expect that level of scoring, think both teams are trying to be a little more serious about at least playing a little defense this year but still could be a good one for WBB fans.
