The diff in Iowa this year is other players are stepping up. They have evolved beyond being a two trick circus.Flipped on TV for a minute before heading out and saw that Iowa is demolishing Penn State in IC at the half by 28 points. PSU is a NET 64 so not a tourney team but not hot garbage either, similar rank as Big 12 Kansas State's NET 61.
Edit: Watched a couple minutes of the 3rd. Dang, 12,000 attendance for this game, without students that are still on break. Mad Fran would kill for that sort of fan support.
Which poll or ranking decides the top 16 teams that get the first round at home?Polls should be interesting for Big 12 teams. Thinking ISU and Baylor fall 4 or 5 spots. Kansas should drop out. Sooners maybe move up a spot or two.
NCAA NET moved Texas up 4 to #10, keep in mind they are not even ranked so poll voters will probably still beat on us for the Top 25. ISU only dropped two in NET to #14. Probably going to take a while for the NET to score the without Soares team.

I'm going to slightly disagree. UCONN got the benefit of having players out with their loss. We should get the same. Also, other teams had a bad week, so we benefited from that.ISU did drop. Baylor and KU out. UT at 25. ISU ranked too high.

and than
again
It's always a matchup issue against them. Our style is not conducive to beating Texas. Physical teams have always bothered us. It is so strange though how plenty of teams we are better than can play with Texas and even beat them. We just can't seem to do it.Weird that Texas can crush us but struggle against Tech a team we destroy on a constant basis.
