WBB: General All-NCAA Thread - Not Team Cyclones Stuff

I don’t think people understand that neither team has bench players. Elite 8 starters YES. But both teams don’t have the depth to solidify themselves from the group. Iowa state women will not win the big 12. Have you guys watched Oklahoma? They score like 90 points a game lol

Just like last year, Oklahoma plays zero defense and just looks to out score everyone. We at least play okay defense. We are still the favorite in the Big 12, not saying we WILL win it but pretty sure the Sooners will not.

Illini almost vaulted themselves into the Top 25 afer beating Iowa, clocking in as the top RV, essentially #26.

ISU and Iowa swapped places in the polls.

Sooners cracked the Top 20 for some reason.

North Carolina, one of our losses dropped a whopping 9 places to #22.

If not for South Carolina being at a level above everyone except for maybe Stanford, their only having 2 Top 25 opponents going forward would be more of an issue for them getting game tested going into the NCAA tourney. It will be interesting to see if it has ANY impact on them.

I would have placed Indiana among those other two, until they stumbled against MSU. They were playing at a very high level and without their best all around player, Grace Berger. JMO.

Watched some of Indiana vs Nebraska and think Indiana is not elite enough on the defensive end to be mentioned in the TOP tier of teams.

Baylor is beating Oklahoma 21-5 after 1Q.

Thanks for the reminder.

34-30 at half so Sooners flipped the script in 2nd quarter. Looks like Baylor is in foul trouble with two starters and one reserve with 3. They aren't deep as understand things.

Edit: Foul fest now. Sooners Williams and Baylor's Bickle out with 4 fouls each. Not a physical game, just lot's of dumb fouls reaching and trying to slap at ball plus a bunch of illegal screens and charges.

Foul fest continues. This is hard to watch. I feel like the third quarter has lasted 40 minutes!
2:26 left in the third BU 49 OU 36

Big roadie for Baylor Bears. Thought they looked pretty good. They shoot more threes than old Baylor and maybe don't play defense to the level of Kim's Baylor teams (or have the same level of players) but still play better defense than most Big 12 schools. Road wins against the other top five are going to be big for teams wanting to contend.

Sets up a big game for Sooners versus ISU this weekend. We'll be 2-0 and Sooners will need to defend home court having already lost a big one at home.

Aubrey got a bucket to get it under double figures.
She had a bad play in the final minute - failed to block out, got outmuscled for the weak side rebound and gave up a traditional three point play. OU had it under 10 and wasn’t likely to catch up, but that slammed the door.

She doesn’t appear to have a defined role in that wide-open OU offense, other than maybe heir apparent to Taylor Robertson.

UNC loss continues to look worse as the Tar Heels lose to Miami tonight and drop to 9-5 overall and 0-3 in ACC play. Have lost 4 straight.
I said the same thing when it happened that the loss to UNC was going to bug me all year for seeding purposes. We are better than they are and we just completely dominated them before forgetting how to play basketball in the 2nd Half.
