WBB: General All-NCAA Thread - Not Team Cyclones Stuff

Nebraska beat them 72-55 today. A 17-0 run for the Huskers was the difference.

If ISU can win twice this week, we will be in the top 5.

2 tough games for the ladies this wk. Like to see Bill beat Vic, BUT if we only get one I'd rather beat OU. Love to snag them both though.

43 points on 44 shots!?!?! I remember Riley well, and she was volume shooting to the highest level, but that stat is just insane.
Almost as insane: only 3 assists, and they were all hers.
Also insane: according to the game recap, she missed 17 shots in a row at one point.

Side note: this was the last of three games senior Alison Lacey missed due to pneumonia at the end of the season. Technically she only missed two of them, but playing for, like, 5 seconds on senior night doesn't count.

Agree that Riley was a volume shooter who was as big a detriment to her team as she was a help. Clark is FAR superior to her.
I guess I should have said why she reminds me of Riley. Riley was a volume shooter and would shoot some crazy, long shots that would go in. She also had free reign over what the team was doing, like Clark. The big difference is Clark is far better as you say and does look for the open teammate and does make good decisions. However, they both whine about calls and never believe they foul and they are always fouled.

Kansas was picked last in preseason.

They're now 9-4, but finish with this stretch:
vs. Iowa State, at Baylor, vs. Texas, at Oklahoma

West Virginia has dropped 4 in a row, and there's now a clear line between the first-round byes and the Thursday night teams.
