WBB: General All-NCAA Thread - Not Team Cyclones Stuff

An Iowa fan started a thread on HR wishing Clark shot less threes because she is only shooting around 25% for the year (she was over 40% last year). Other than the ISU game, I have not watched any Iowa WBB so no idea what has caused her decrease, but guessing she is the focus of all defenses and not getting the open looks she might have last year.

She doesn't have Gustafson to be the inside presence, that they had last yr. Gustafson was really strong inside, giving Clark way better looks.

She never played with Gustafson. Megan's last year was 2019.

I would have said great but we have a handful of posters here that hate her so thought it would just draw dumb comments. I'll settle on very very good game. ;) Almost a triple double but those 7 TO's were not ideal. The ones I saw were mostly failed attempts to feed to Czinano. Saw the TD pass to Marshall on highlights, that was a nice chuck downfield. Peeps here that ONLY watch ISU games missed a good game. I'll tune in next week if I remember to, should be a another good one. I don't feel bad about Huskers being decent again, good for their league and my TV viewing although maybe not great for ISU recruiting.
Agree with your summary - and great crowd in Lincoln. Good for women's basketball.

My bad I thought they had Gustafson last yr. Sorry.
All good. Although that team with those two together is a scary thought. Glad they never crossed paths together for a year. That would have been unbearable.

"Hate" is always a strong word to use. I would say that folks on here don’t hate her or dislike her. They dislike her style of play and attitude. Big difference.

In many ways this Iowa team has all of its key contributors back. Too three - Clark, Warwick and Czinano are still there.

What this does:
*Eliminates the "open" week for Baylor and TCU; shifts the open week for a few other teams
*Baylor and Texas play back-to-back: 2/4 (Waco) and 2/6 (Austin)
*Baylor and TCU play back-to-back: 2/16 (Waco) and 2/19 (Fort Worth)
*Kansas plays at WVU on 2/9, with the return game in Lawrence on 2/15
*Puts all of the previously PPD games back on the schedule; everyone back to an 18-game slate

Watching OSU and TCU. Couple of quick observations. First, TCU is really bad. Just not a lot of tools there. We saw that in Ames when ISU didn’t play a particularly good game. Hard to say how “good” OSU is considering who they are playing. They have multiple people who can hit shots if they are open. Not seeing them use their posts much so far. Have a tendency to display sloppy ball handling. Defense is pretty active and tight.

Crazy night in the Big 12:
Oklahoma 83 Baylor 77
West Virginia 64 Texas Tech 53
TCU 64 Oklahoma State 63
Overtime Kansas 70 Texas 66

watched parts of both the TCU/Ok St and WVU/Texas Tech games and they were hard to watch not very good basketball by any of the 4 teams

ISU 4-0
K ST 3-1
OK 3-1
KU 2-1
WVU 1-2
TCU 1-2
TEX 1-2
OK ST 1-3
TT 1-3
BAYLOR 0-2
tough night for 3 of the Texas teams

Right now we have a big bulls eye on our backs as everyone wants to beat the leader. We have to stay calm and focused and just play OUR game everytime we step on the floor.

bingo. This team is never out of a game and once they create a lead they will typically hold it.
