WBB: General All-NCAA Thread - Not Team Cyclones Stuff

UTSA and Rice playing in Birmingham.

On-camera shot of the announcers coming out of halftime, and there are ZERO people behind them. Not even way in the back. Just a trash can and a backpack.

Switched to this game, UTSA beating Rice handily. I don't think all these gals parents even came to the game, there would be more people there in a group.
Isn't Rice supposed to be quite strong academically?

watched a number of games yesterday and sad at the attendance at most of them. Also the quality of play was not that impressive most teams would fall in our bottom quarter teams.

WBB coaching legend retiring after this season; will be replaced by his son.

(I couldn't help myself.)

At least the son had a failed tenure as a head coach at a major, Ole Miss (44% winning), before getting fired.

Still, it's a mid-major so will probably work out for guy who coached as real HC in the SEC.

His son Matt had a very unimpressive stint at MS. Winning 2 conference games his 1st & 3rd season and 1 in his final season. They were going absolutely nowhere in wins and recruiting. Some of his in game decisions were extremely head scratching. There's a coach on the bench (Nina Davis) that has always had fire in the belly and has been a winner all her life. I'd bet a pile she could do better than Matt. But being the son he has the inside track. I sure hope this is not what happens at ISU.

Well at least his son went to be head coach somewhere for a while. Didn't check records or anything but at least he left the nest.

Earmarks Nina Davis for future reference. Maybe she'd like Ames.
