WBB: General All-NCAA Thread - Not Team Cyclones Stuff

KU drilled K-State by 22.

Colorado beat OSU by 14 in Boulder.
Buffs 4-0 at home, and 0-4 on the road. Not terribly surprising.

5th through 12th in the Big 12 separated by two wins:
5-3, 5-3, 4-4, 4-4, 4-4, 4-4, 4-5, 3-6, 3-6
I said before we played them that CU at home was tough. And then you watch them play and woof…how they are 4-0 is beyond me.

Both McCabe sisters, playing for rival schools, left their game today with serious injuries. This popped up in my FB feed. Thinking the Hawks McCabe is ACL, not heard much about Drake Peyton McCabe other than she was carried off the court. :(

Really unfortunate. Taylor basically just planted her foot playing defense moving backwards and it happened. She immediately couldn't put weight on it. Feel bad for her.

Can't believe how this iowa team is handling this gauntlet schedule.

Kind of agree. They had a couple of rough games that they managed to win while not playing well but right now they really are playing some good ball (almost blowing the Maryland game as an aside because of the OT performance). I've caught bites and pieces of some of their games and they have moments with some really great ball movement on offense and the defense from their guards can be pretty good. We'll see how losing a starting guard again impacts them, McCabe is a great three point shooter but she was also a defender like former Cyclone Feuerbach.

Iowa at 18-2 and 9-0 in B1G play with a h2h win over Michigan St. who's 18-2 and 7-2 in B1G play, yet Michigan St. is ranked higher... definitely a call.

The AP has your gals at #8, can't complain about that! Saw a UConn fan on a forum grumping that the Big Ten teams were overrated. Not sure who he/she would elevate over the top Big Ten teams in the poll. Guess he'd say some Big East teams.

Latest pollski is out.

Big 12 and opponent ranks.

#8 Iowa +2
#13 TCU -3 for losing on the road @ OSU.
#14 Baylor - no change
#21 Texas Tech -2
#22 WVU - no change

Oklahoma State got one vote to sort of stay in the RV category. And we got no votes for the first time this season.

Well UConn did smash us pretty bad, so I get it.

After about #12 in the rankings you could toss the next 25 teams in a bowl and they’d all be pretty even and capable of beating each other.
