WBB: General All-NCAA Thread - Not Team Cyclones Stuff

That is exactly what it was like when Fennelly arrived at ISU. My first game Dale and I walked in and most of the arena was roped off. We went down and sat behind the bench. Couple hundred people at best.
You were there with my late parents who told me about those games. They were season ticket ticket holders till the end.

My buddy Dale (RIP) was a grad asst at Iowa State. He had one of the players (it was either Grimm or Olson) in class. Invited me to go along to watch and support the team. This was also the beginning of our “Power of the Pops” tradition. If it weren’t for Dale I may not have become the avid fan I am today.

This Big 12/Big Ten game might be watchable and a change from the bakery pasty diet most teams have been on. It's on the BTN channel. WVU beat somebody by 69 pts last night.

ASU all over Penn State by 26 late in the 3rd.

Update: Good win for ASU. They turned over the two Penn State stars 12 times. Penn State is not so good but they are maybe better than the bottom of the Big 12, they did beat Cincy earlier.

Big 12 Cowgirls hung with Sooners in their rivals game for the first half before losing 92-70.

Man, some balanced scoring from Sooners:

Wow! Missed seeing this yesterday. The Tommies crashed Drake.

They host Minnesota Gophers next week. Lost in double overtime in Mpls last year. Guessing this one won't be close.

Since the men are favored by a 40 spot today I'll probably be channel flipping by half time back and forth with this game.

Texas by 18, will be interesting to see if a #13 ranked Big 12 team can hang with a Top Four team. #16 USC couldn't with UConn yesterday, wasn't even competative.

Saw that but UCONN and S.C. are a cut above everyone IMO.

Channel flippin'. Ugly ankle injury to Bear's Tahlia Scott. Hope it's only a not too severe sprain. Just as Baylor was maybe making a bit of a run. Without Scott there won't be any comeback for Baylor.

#13 Baylor drilled by 35 pts and #23 OSU Cowgirls loses by 23 pts to SEC teams.

Kansas State at not so good Creighton later today at 2:30 on FS1. We will see if a middling Big 12 team can even beat a disappointing Big East team.

Unranked WVU underway at Texas A&M.

Guess we need TT to not suck so it's not just ISU and TCU with any cred right now.

Kansas State eeked out a win at Creighton. Creighton freshman missed a layup with 5 seconds left that would have tied the game. KSU freshman Jordon Speiser looks to be pretty good play, and should considering her recruit rank. Only saw the 4th quarter plus a bit when Creighton raced back.

WVU beat Texas A&M. On the road so that was a decent win.

*Big East

Just a reminder that UNI beat Creighton at Creighton. KSU's narrow win doesn't say a whole lot about KSU.

Got the league wrong (brain fart) but, yeah, Creighton is not very good. Usually you expect Creighton, UNI and Drake to be decent and they all are looking bad. UConn is going to have nothing but scrimmages in league play.
