Early I kept thinking they had recruited well enough to be good…but things aren’t looking that way for sure. There are a few surprises in the conference so far, but I’m doing a wait and see on them.

Dayton over Kansas at the half, 33-30. S'mya Nichols had 40 pts the other night but is scoreless in the first half of this foul fest. Game in on ION.

Dayton almost gave it away. Up by one, their leading scorer missed two free throws and KU got the rebound with 5 seconds left. Couldn’t pull it off. Nichols only had 4 points after shooting 5 shots.
Was expecting a bailout call from the refs like the Kansas MBB team always gets. Nichols just fell down and they called traveling.
Most of the ranked teams are dining on cupcakes today but this afternoon game could be interesting, Tennessee at UCLA. Bruins coming off their loss to Texas. They then routed Duke 89-59 with Lauren Betts (injury). Early season, obviously, but game will have implications on the new poll. Hope Betts is playing.
Tennessee hasn’t played anyone of consequence yet. They had a close loss to NC State who has really faltered after looking good early.
Fairfield brought way more energy and hustle. Iowa played pretty sluggish, made lazy passes that ended up as turnovers, just not a great effort out of them. The injuries also didn't help.
My impression is the posts are the engine for Iowa but Chit-Chat at PG is the spark and they maybe missed her more today than they did vs Miami?
Yeah we absolutely miss her at PG. She's a difference maker just in terms of bringing the ball up and setting up the offense.
Last two games are the only time WVU has played teams with a pulse. As everyone is seeing Duke has been a poser so far.
I think only ISU, TCU and Baylor will be ranked by the end of the month. OSU plays Oklahoma and Baylor yet this month, albeit at home. Than TCU Jan. 7.
We may end up with only three ranked opponents in regular season play, Iowa, TCU and Baylor.
Those OSU games will tell us something. Obviously no one believes in Tech yet.

Im getting too the point Ill be disappointed if we don't go 16-2/17-1 in league play with how bad this league is
In the SEC/ACC challenge things are sure going well for the SEC. They are feasting. So far 6 out of 7. Nine more games tomorrow. Wouldn't be shocked if they took at least 7 of them. Great WBB being played in that league right now.
Arizona’s schedule. And realistically, Southern will likely be a tournament team again. When they played us it was clear they had talent. But yowza….
