WBB: General All-NCAA Thread - Not Team Cyclones Stuff

Geno is not a fan of the two locations for the Sweet 16/Elite 8.

It's been a disservice to everyone not located in the Pacific time zone.

The closest regional to Ames in the next 4 years is Fort Worth.

And they just keep going back out west for the Sweet 16/Elite 8 -

2026 - Sacramento
2028 - Portland

2027 is in Las Vegas, which I think is a good spot - much better than Spokane, Sacramento, or Portland.

If they want to keep the two locations, why can't they come up with two more centrally located spots - like Nashville and Denver or something similar, instead of seeing how far apart they can place them?

ESPN is clearly getting a large input in the decision, with 6 consecutive years of a Pacific regional (Seattle 2023, Portland 2024, Spokane 2025), 4 in the east (Greenville 2023, Albany 2024, Philly 2027, DC 2028), and 2 in the central (Birmingham 2025, Fort Worth 2026).

They want ("need") late windows, and it's easier to argue for a 7pm local tip out west than it is a 9pm tip in Kansas City -- even though both Texas and LSU had home games at/after 9pm in the first round.

Betts carrying UCLA in the first half. 16 pts, 8-9 FG; rest of the team is 5-17.

Bruins up 1 on 5-seed Ole Miss.

Not much of a contest in the second half. Betts finishes with 31 pts (15-16 FG) and 10 reb.

So far we have 1 vs 3 and 1 vs 2 in regional finals.

Notre Dame up 35-33 on TCU at half.

In the first meeting between these two earlier this year, Notre Dame led 35-31 at half and TCU won 76-68.

Can the Frogs make the 2nd half comeback again?
