***WBB 25-26 Record Watch***

Addy Brown is 11th in career assists, will move to 8th in the next couple of games
At her current rate she could end up #4 all time. Amazing when everyone else on that list is a point guard as I recall.

At her current rate she could end up #4 all time. Amazing when everyone else on that list is a point guard as I recall.
Everyone in the top 7 was primarily a PG.

Tracy Gahan was a wing in the mold of Addy Brown (with Frese/Wilson at point). Heather Ezell was a 2-guard in the mold of Arianna Jackson (with Medders/Lacey at point). Tracy Horvath is before my time, but as the assist leader for several years before Frese I assume she played PG.

Brief Tracy Gahan appreciation sidetrack:

When Gahan's career was over after the 2002 season, she was:
  • #7 in career scoring
  • #10 in career FG made
  • #4 in career 3FG made
  • #6 in career FT made
  • #4 in career OReb
  • #4 in career DReb
  • #5 in total career rebounds
  • #3 in career assists
  • #11 in career blocks
  • #5 in career steals
  • #2 in career minutes played
  • #16 in career PPG
  • #3 in effective FG%
  • #2 in 3pt FG%
  • #3 in FT%
  • #7 in OReb/G
  • #5 in DReb/G
  • #10 in total Reb/G
  • #6 in A/G
  • #5 in min/G

Updated with yesterday's big win.
  • Audi is now 28 points from #7 (Burns), 38 points from #6 (Olson), 105 points from #5 (Taylor), and 114 points from #4 (Wilson). After that is a bit of a gap to the top 3.
  • Jada and Audi became the first players this season to crack the top 100 in a single-season stat: Audi is #94 in FT attempts and Jada is #78 in assists.
  • Audi is up to 169 FGA on the season. Once she hits 200, she'll be on the single-season FG% list, where her current FG% of 72.2 is 6.1% higher than current #1 Angie Welle (who is also #2 and #3).

Updated with yesterday's game. Audi being out means no movement on any of her records, but Addy has now jumped all the way to #8 in career assists.

Coincidentally, Heather Ezell, who Addy bumped from the top 10 in career assists, is also #20 in career points. So Addy will also be bumping her from that list later this season barring anything unforeseen.

Updated.
  • Audi is now #6 in career scoring, passing Olson and Burns. She's only 64 points from #5 (Taylor) and 73 points from #4 (Wilson).
  • Addy is now on the career rebounds list at #15
  • Players in the top 100 in single-season totals:
    • Audi #91 in scoring
    • Audi #70 in FGM
    • Audi #96 in FTM
    • Audi #80 in FTA
    • Addy #90 in Def Reb
    • Jada #54 in assists
    • Addy #90 in assists

Updated with two more games.

Audi is still #6 but will pass both Taylor and Wilson in the next game barring anything unforeseen. After that, the next milestone is 2,000 points, which is around 5 games away at her current rate.

Updated after last night's embarrassment.

Audi indeed jumped up to #4 in career scoring. She's now 256 away from #3 (Carleton) and 263 away from #2 (Welle). She'll probably be there around mid-February barring injury.

Updated with yesterday's game. Audi is 37 points from cracking the single-season top 20 in scoring and 17 FGM from the single-season top 10 in that category.

I thought I had a mid-week post but I don't see it anywhere. Anyway, this is updated with Saturday's game.
  • Audi is 19 points away from 2000 for her career.
  • Audi is #16 in single-season scoring
  • Audi is #10 in single-season FGM
  • Jada is 30 assists away from cracking the single-season top 10.

Updated with yesterday's game.
  • Audi hit 2000 career points, of course. She's around 130 points from passing Welle and Bridget on the career list, so that'll be in around 5 or 6 games barring injury.
  • Sydney Harris is #2 in career 3pt%. She's probably been up there the whole time, but I bring it up now because she's the lone senior and she could make a run at #1 Frese before the end of the season. She'd pass Frese if she made her next 7 in a row, so there's a little work to be done.
  • Audi is up to #13 in single-season scoring. She's 35 points from cracking the top 10.
  • Audi jumped up to #5 in single-season FGM.
  • Jada is now 21 assists from the single-season top 10.
  • Jada is currently very slightly above Lyndsey for #1 in single-season assists/game.

Just read that Audi is the fastest player to reach 2,000 points in conference history! That is shecreached 2,000 in the fewest number of games.

Audi should surpass Ashley in career points, assuming she returns for her senior year.
I expected that record to last forever, barring a change in NCAA eligibility rules. But it's on track to last only four years.

Assuming...
  • ISU plays 12 more games this season (which assumes two postseason wins combined between conference tourney and NCAA/other postseason tournaments)
  • ISU plays 34 total games next season (which is the same total as my assumption for this season)
  • barring injury/transfer
  • Audi averages 25 ppg in those 46 games (which is actually a bit less than her average this season)
... Audi will score 1150 more points. That would break Ashley's record by around 100 points.
