Walking Dead

For how great the writing and story line is, I've always found it very childish/silly that the only way to become a zombie is by being bit. I mean what do they have, some kind of venom in their teeth? I understand that's been the mantra for every zombie movie or comic ever, but it just seems silly.

Do you watch the show, or did you just miss the part where everyone becomes a zombie after they die? Granted, it doesn't make any sense that everyone is a carrier, and yet somehow just getting bitten is certain death, but I'm sure some writer has come up with some kind if bs explanation for it.

Good episode, but I do feel let down (and I feel odd using that term) at the lack of any main character deaths. That feels really strange to write.

The architect/husband did seem like a good guy for sure, but really didn't make much of an emotional impact. Certainly the reveal of the Wolves sets up next season pretty well though. Poor red parka guy...

Yeah, but his wife is going to go crazy after losing both her son and her husband. She will be much more on board with the realities that Rick & CO are talking about now that she has no true stability in her life.

I find it funny that Rick didn't even hesitate hen Deanna told him to do it. She could have meant that he needed to be exiled, or beat up, or arrested, etc. Rick was like: "I better do this **** before she changes her mind."

Nice of Cliff Alexander to join Talking Dead tonight. Is that an NCAA violation? And I didn't know he was from the British part of Chicago.

I understand that, but I meant the only way for a live person to become a zombie is a bite. I guess I missed the scratch method, but they never worry about that anyway.

No ****. Feel bad for all those towners that were watching, especially Pete's wife. I know he beat her, but I would guess it'd still suck to watch your husband get shot in the head.

Those town people, including deanna have got be feeling hesitant. I mean they haven't hardly seen anything go wrong, and not more than a couple weeks with these new outsiders, and Aiden gets eaten, Rick beats the **** out of one of their own, one of the founders gets his throat slit, and then dude gets executed.

This town was seemingly at peace for a couple years, then all hell break loose. However, I understand that the show needs a story line, and can't just have people living in peace.

I thought the same thing as well. Luckily they kept the son away from the town meeting, but that kid will be meesed up when he finds out. It's not like it was in self-defense or anything like that, it was a straight up execution.

So now we got Michonne and Morgan as the martial arts masters. All we need now is a couple more cast members to pick up nunchuks and sai and we'll be just a pizza away from a TMNT episode.

Really fun season finale. My wife thought the wolves at the end were the same guys that were tied up in the car. I thought they were different guys. Anyone notice?

Having her husband killed I thought was the only way that Deanna was going to wake up.

I like the Wolves storyline. Some people with some complexity. I thought the Terminus thing was a little over the top with the evil hipster thing. These guys even have knowledge of local history. The trap was ingenious.

Best part may have been the commercial for the new series. Can't wait.

People die from a zombie bite because they get a blood infection from the all the bacterias of rotting flesh directly entering their bloodstream. Open wounds I would be cautious of, but bacteria on eyes and skin and even in the mouth is something the body deals with.

Y'all catch "in memoriam"?

Until we see you next,
hide your kids
(from Carol)
hide your wife
(from Rick)
and everyone hide
(from the wolves)

Not verbatim...but you get the idea. :)

I thought the episode was very underwhelming for a season finale. The story line grew but the cliffhanger is so-so compared to the potential jaw-dropper it could have been.

The only vocalizations at the episode I made was when Glenn was shot in the shoulder ("You bastard!") And when Morgan showed up in Alexandria. ("Ohhhhhhhh!!!!!!!")

I yelled at glen, "Do NOT follow that d-bag!"

I'm surprised they didn't show us how Glen got away from the multiple Walkers, but I guess it's better for it to be a surprise when he cold cocks d-bag #2

They didn't off anyone, but they did set it up for the Wolves to literally be at the door early next season. And Morgan actually knows they exist and some what they are capable of.
