I had mine last Wednesday and had to watch the needle go out to actually make sure I got a shot. No arm soreness, no symptoms, no nothing. Felt great before, during and after.

My wife had immediate arm soreness and was okay that night, but felt flu-like symptoms the next day. Body aches and fever. Her arm was still sore yesterday and I still feel nothing.

I am almost questioning whether or not I really got the shot.

I had the same experience. It seemed too quick. A bit of a reaction would have been strangely reassuring.

I get the second shot in a couple weeks. I've heard being well hydrated helps with side effects, but who knows.

When they were giving me the rundown before the shot, the nurse said to drink plenty of water that night. And Tylenol if any symptoms popped up.

Well, it was in Green Bay and as a lifelong Packer hater, the whole town had a shittty air about it.

This is my exact experience with the first Moderna. It was like they injected me with normal saline. I am hoping for some sort of reaction the second round, just for the peace of mind aspect.

I felt nothing after my first or second Pfizer dose. Not even arm soreness. And I had to get stuck with that needle multiple times, since it kept breaking on my arm.
I've seen too many "wow" reactions to my post. To clarify, the needles breaking on my arm was a joke to say how "tough" I was. :p

In reality, I have to look away when they're sticking me. Although I will say, the actual needle for the flu shot feels more painful than the ones for the Covid vaccine.

My favorite part of feeling hung over post-shot is how it's something I literally did to myself 2-3 times/week for years on end except MUCH worse, haha.

At my current stage in life I laid in bed for 24 hours straight watching Ted Lasso and trying not to move.

21 year old Clonefan32 would have ate some Burger King, taken a cold shower and got right back at it.

My how things have changed.

I joked around that I must've got a placebo because I felt nothing. I hope it was a joke...

I always think about my dad when getting shots. When he was helping giving them in WWII as a medic there was one big tough sergeant he told me about that was deathlily phobia about needles. He said the trick was to pinch the guys deltoid so hard that it hurt worse than the needle and they didn't now they had the shot till he let go. With that said these needles are really fine since you hardly feel the stick and just a little pressure during injection.

Also, if he were still alive he would be pretty surprised to see that servicemen were "declining" shots. LOL at any guy in 1943 that said "I don't want this shot."

Had my second Pfizer last Friday. Some body aches that evening, a minor headache, and some dizziness. Woke up Saturday morning and ran a 5K - no other issues. The first Pfizer dose gave me a nagging headache for about four days. I had a "minor" case of COVID-19 early November and it knocked me on my butt for several days. No fever, but extreme fatigue, bad headache, and I still do not have my sense of smell back. It also raised my resting heartrate by about 10 beats per minute (from low 40's to low 50's) and it has dropped only slightly since then. As some have said the reaction from the shots are proof they are working and your body is developing the antibodies to fight any future "intruders"!

I was kind of wondering if reactions to the shot would be similar to reactions to Covid in those that have had it.

Son who had Covid didn’t react to first shot, but one of his friends, who also was a groomsman at the wedding where my son got Covid, had painful continual headache with Covid and the Pfizer for the first day and a half. Another groomsman had low blood ox requiring being on oxygen, and he had cough and chills on second Moderna.

Military? Fear of needles? Reminds me of an old Robert Heinlein short story:

Oh, and yes, in my days in the military there was no such thing as declining a shot. I knew one guy who was chicken **** from the stuff he read on the internet, and he managed to get out of his enlistment. Turns out that we never had to get the shot (anthrax) after all.

That's another thing--diet. If I ate like I did 10-15 or even 20 years ago, holy cow talk about long term health effects.

But oh man a double cheeseburger from BK on a 22 madguy hang over=heaven.
