I was thinking he looked real familiar too, but I don't know where I would know him from. Played at Ill St in the mid 90's, was a longtime assistant for Stallings at Vandy before taking this job.

Muller played on the Illinois State team which lost to Iowa State in the first round of the 1997 NCAA Tournament.

Always thought the weird thing about being one of those teams whose entire purpose is to run the clock was...what happens when you inevitably are down big and need to score fast?

It's ironic that if Illinois State hangs on they'll have more impressive top wins than two "top ten" mainstays this season.

They have more bad losses, but one hot weekend can give them more impressive wins than UNI or WSU have had all season. Really curious how this could affect RPI for those two. 14-15 now, I'm thinking a UNI loss here drops them both down to around 16-20 range. Their RPI (and obviously the inflated AP ranking) is still going to look better than their resume which consists of going 1-1 vs each other.

I don't think much changes. They can just throw it in to Tuttle with 25 seconds left on the shot clock rather than 10.

I ran RPI forecast earlier and a loss puts them at #22. Still WAY too high
